Day 5: My Parents
Mom, Dad, you two are amazing.
From day one, you two have been taking care of me, teaching me, watching over me, and leading me on my way into adulthood, into Christ. You two have both been instrumental in how I turned out to be, despite all the times I messed up along the way, you two still love me. And care for me. That I find to be amazing on some days.
Mom, I must say, you really have been as a guardian angel to me as I have grown up. From my first encounter with celiac at a very young age, to where I am now, a college student, a strong Christian, a warrior of Christ, and a dedicated scholar. Ablight with an altogether too-sensitive heart. You wre the one who encouraged me into reading at such a young age. no wonder I am such an avid reader nowadays. You were there for me through the dark and blood-stained nights, when I was wrapped up deep in depression, cutting, and abusive long-distance relationships. You were comforting when I revealed to you my empathy, and helped me grow in my faith and strength. I still don't enjoy walking through monstrous crowds, or feel all that comfortable around grieving or angry crowds, but I am better now than I used to be.
Dad, you've been a great teacher to me. You encouraged me to work with my hands, and to strive to be the best I can be, to glorify God. You have been a pivotal person in my life, from being my den leader as an elementary-schooler, to my principal, as a homeschooler, and as my father, through it all. As a baby, you read to me, with Rach and Maria, and you instilled in me that knowledge is key, and that those who follow God's path and plans succeed. You have helped me with my own path, and have taught me very much over the years, and for that, I thank you. You, God, and Mom are the three who truly have made me the man I am today.
