Day 01: When and why you started riding

Well, I started riding six years ago (2010), in about second grade. I rode a horse for the first time in 2005, when I was 2. (I'm 13 now) I loved horses ever since, but I thought it was just a phase. Haha I was so stupid.. XD

So my best friend at the time, Jade, she had just bought her first horse, a beautiful 13.9hh buckskin and white Paint mare named Dakota. I shadowed her and Dakota at her stable constantly. It was wonderful, and I fell in love with both Dakota and a 14.6hh gelding named Teddy, a creamy-buckskin quarterhorse. I was just about to convince my parents to let me ride at her stable, Lake Forest...wheeen Jade and I were forced to split up because our parents didn't get along. *Sigh*
But I was determined to ride anyway, and that summer, my mom signed me up for a horse camp at a stable called Twelve Oaks, and I've been hooked ever since.
