Amaya's a side character in Aqaven: Into the Land Never Told.

"Amaya!"

"Shut up!"

It's barely even sunrise and my sister's been banging on my door. Bakit ba kasi kailangan ko pang sumama? She has her own feet. She can even levitate and just flew all the way to Ibera.

"Samahan mo na ako sabi eh!"

"It's not my fault you have zero fashion sense, Ophelia." Padabog akong bumangon at pinagbuksan siya ng pinto. "Just go pick any clothes. Lahat naman babagay sa'yo."

"Oh well you're right." Kibit-balikat niyang sagot bago ako hinila papasok ulit sa silid ko. "But I trust your senses little sis! Help your ate okay?"

"Whatever."

I have no choice. Kaysa naman maghapon akong disturbuhin ng kapatid kong hindi maruning makaintindi ng hindi.

As soon as the sun rises we are already aboard the ship to Ibera. Does our parents knew about this? Absolutely not. Ophelia is grounded for a month after she destroyed some of the shelves in the palace's public library last week.

She's reckless as heck.

"May date ako after our shopping." She leaned her body to the ship's bulwark while looking at me.

I raised my eyebrow trying to get her point. "So?"

"Baka gusto mong makipag double date."

I rolled my eyes. All she knew is dating and being reckless. "If it isn't Aiden then end of discussion."

"Aiden na naman? Do you even hear the rumours about him flirting with hostesses?" Inalis niya ang sarili sa pagkakasandal at seryoso akong kinausap. As if I would believe that rumour.

"He's just having fun with the girls that's why."

"Ayaw mo talagang magpatinag ano?" She sighed and then grinned. Nababaliw na ata siya. "I heard he's someone's boyfriend."

"Shut up."

Alam ko. I heard about that rumour yesterday. I even confronted that girl. She wasn't even pretty nor special. She's too plain. Maybe she's quite bubbly.

After a long ride on the ship we finally reached Ibera. What welcomed me? A stinking smell of fishes as I trip over the wooden platform that connects the ship and the land. My body landed on the basket of fishes near the platform.

"Pasensya na miss!" Isang lalaking kasing amoy rin ng mga isdang nandirito ang lumapit sa akin. He wears a rugged stained poncho over his shirt paired with ragged pants and shoes. Some strands of his hair are stuck on his forehead probably because of sweat.

"Shut up! Argh!" Isa-isa kong pinagdadampot ang mga isdang nasa ibabaw ng suot kong damit. It took me a few minutes to choose a dress and I'll just end up here? Drenching in absolute disgust. I hate this day!

May mga tao pang tumatawa na nakatingin sa akin. If only there's no law about abused of abilities I could definitely take their breath away. Literally.

"Stop whining. You're acting like a brat."

"Oh, excuse me?" Tumayo ako upang harapin ang lalaking siyang dapat na tumulong sa akin. "Kasalanan ko bang malapit sa platform ang mga isdang 'to?"

"Wala akong sinabi ah?" The guys behind his back innocently nodded as if I was the only one who heard him. Ang iba naman ay tinignan ako na parang nababaliw na ako.

"Oh please! You're mocking me!"

He just shrugged and draw himself nearer. Just enough to hear him say, "Am I?"

"Amaya!"

"Ugh! Finally! Ophelia." Lumingon agad ako sa kapatid kong biglang nawala nang magsibabaan kami sa barko. Kung hindi ko lang siya kapatid baka kanina pa iyan nawalan ng hininga.

"Yo—" Halos napatigil si Ophelia sa paglapit sa akin nang makita ako at ng lalaking kasama ko. "Never mind. Tara na, Amaya. Let's get you changed."

My day goes on. We shop clothes and looked for some jewelries. She's really serious about the date while I'm still sulking over the fact that someone like him was mocking me. Kapag talagang makita ko pa iyon isang sapak ang maaabutan niya sa akin.

"Little sis naman sumama ka na. Double date. I heard he's bringing his bestfriend. Baka matipuhan mo."

"Yeah, whatever."

Before I could ruin my day even more I might as well accept my sister's offer. Baka mailigtas pa ng magiging kadate ko ang araw ko.

Oh well.

I guess it's not.

"You!"

"Hello there." Tinaas lang niya nang bahagya ang mga kamay niya bago nagpatuloy sa pagbabasa ng libro. He didn't even looked at me!

"Magkakilala na sila?" tanong ng lalaking siyang kadate ni Ophelia.

Kakarating lang namin sa Le Rêve Du Sud. One of the best eating places in Ibera. It's almost dark and I don't know why we are eating outdoors and why the heck is this guy reading in the dark? Parang hindi siya ang lalaking nang-asar sa akin kanina. But I know for a fact that it is him.

"We barely even talked earlier. Ganiyan na ba kalalim ang galit mo sa akin?" Ibinaba niya ang binabasa na libro at tumayo upang humarap sa akin. "Let's start over. I'm Atlas."

I rolled my eyes but I caught my sister glaring at me. "Ugh. Amaya."

"Oh nice! So now that you get to know each other we might as well leave."

Nakakunot noo akong napatingin kay Ophelia. She just gave me mischievous smile before she waved goodbye. Where the heck were they going?

"Akala ko ba dinner at double date to'?"

"So you agree to date with me?" sabat ni Atlas at tumayo sa tabi ko. "Might as well we date don't we?"

"Shut up you liar." Nauna na akong maglakad sa kaniya. I don't care if he follows me or not.

There are corners of Ibera with no light, no people. Just streets heading to people's houses and I end up being in one of those corners. To my unluck again two men are blocking my way.

"You better move the heck out of my wa—"

Hindi ko na natapos ang sasabihin ko nang bigla nalang natumba ang sarili ko. I lost control over my body. Isang lalaki ang sumalo sa akin. He was grinning as if he caught the largest fish on the sea.

Paralyzation. Either two of them had this ability.

Natakot ako but my fear isn't showing. I couldn't control any muscle of my body. Hinawakan ng isang lalaki ang mga kamay ko at ang isa naman ay nasa paanan ng suot kong mahabang damit.

Only my tears showed my real emotions as of this moment.

"You better put away that hands of yours. Move."

As if for an instant the two men immediately move away their hands from me turned back and walked away. Naibalik na rin ang control ko sa katawan ko nang tuluyan akong bumagsak sa lupa. I was confused. The two men were probably confused.

Anong nangyari?

"Darling." Napaangat ako ng tingin sa lalaking nagsalita. "Isn't it better if we just date and never encountered this scenario?"

It was him! Atlas! He probably had the ability to manipulate body movements.

"Shut up." My voice wasn't fierce unlike before. My pride just took over me for a moment before I realized what he did. "But thank you."

He smiled before picking me up on the ground. "You looked better when sincere. Shall we just date?"

"Yeah, whatever."
