This was a two part question but since I am a girl, I get to choose my favourite shonen anime (male audience oriented anime).

Honestly, it's annoying because 14/20 animes I've currently watched are Shōnen. (Even Gunslinger Girl, which surprised me).

So I'm going to judge it off hardcore Shōnen (I know that has a special name but I'm feeling too lazy to look it up). This standard will be set to where there are hardly any female characters that are relevant or have names in the plot.

Seriously, if you haven't seen One Punch Man and need something funny, this is the anime for you.

MC Saitama and his teen disciple Genos spend a lot of time fighting monsters. Saitama likes to describe himself as "A hero for fun." But they're not considered true heroes until they become part of an organisation that pays them.

If you like monsters, heroes, humour, robots, fight scenes, and lots of randomness, One Punch Man is the anime for you!
