"Namjoon, what time are you coming home today? Should I cook something for you?"
"I'll be home early today. Maybe we could head out and have dinner?" I flashed her a smile. Lynnia had been staying at my house almost a week already. Of course, I don't mind having her in my house. In fact, it felt like everything falls back in places with her in my house.
Lynnia, my diamond, my solace.
She's been working from home, not wanting to go out from the house, unless there's someone accompanying her out from the house. There are times, Haebum, Jiyeon and Jaehi too came over to the house and spend time with her. Their time, consist of, baking, cooking and well, taking care of the kids.
Her ex fiance on the other hand, constantly tries to blast her phone almost every hour since the breakup. All she could do was to block his number and switched off her phone, away from social medias. Paparazzis were swarming around the building trying to get hold either Lynnia or her ex fiance, Yoon Kyungmin.
The bastard!
Apparently, their housekeeper heard their argument, the morning of the breakup, and that lead to paparazzi swarming all over the place.
Luckily for us, I've hired a few bodyguards, just to aid us going in and out from the building. No one knows Lynnia's whereabouts since the breakup, well, of course, except for our closest friends.
Our relationship has been great these days. Thankfully, we are able to talk without any arguments. I did told her, the Lynnia that I once knew, whom Yoon Kyungmin was supposed to be in the first place --being her ex boyfriend, whom she broke up, while studying in Singapore, for the exact same reason; cheating. The only thing I did not disclose was her being pregnant, before she got into an accident. I can't bare myself seeing her drowning in tears, the night I told her.
Seeing her crying against my chest, into my embrace, I rubbed her back, calming her. Her sobs, became quieter, as she began to calm herself. Pulling herself from my embrace she stared into my eyes, with tears, still brimming in her puffy eyes, and her cute little red nose.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get your shirt wet. I just can't control myself from crying. I don't know why did choose to come here. It just felt right, coming here, but then again I am sorry, I must have been disturbing you, from your peace and quietness. Again, I am tru--"
I grabbed both of her shoulders, and squeezed it lightly. "Look at you, the chatterbox is back! Lynnia, look at me, you are welcome, to look for me, whenever you are sad, or even happy. I am glad that you came here." Her lips quivered, and tears were shed. Placing my palms against both of her cheeks, I wiped her tear stained cheeks. "Don't cry, my diamond."
"I am sorry, my turtle." She spoke, making me smile at the endearment, and pulled her making her body crashed into my embrace.
"I missed you so much, my diamond." I whispered against her ear. After a few seconds of silence, I took a deep breath, gathering myself, before speaking.
"What I'm about to tell you later, I hope you do take it well. I hope we will figure out something after that okay?" I asked her, whilst still hugging her. She nodded, as I felt her head bobbing against my shoulder. Pulling herself away form me, she bore her gaze into mine.
"Yoon Kyungmin was your ex, back when you were studying in Singapore. You broke up with him because you caught him cheating on you. You told that, to your best friend, Haebum. After graduating, you found a job in Korea, and flew her, following your friend, Haebum, who is back to her hometown. Life goes on, well, then we met." I heard her chuckled.
"It was great, heck, we were going great, but then--" I paused, trying to hold myself from crying. I knew if I were to speak, I would have choked on my words. Picking up my hand, she gave it a light squeezed, encouraging me to continue.
"--then, it went downhill, as you went missing, all of the sudden. Gone, just like that. Just when I am about to propose to you and build a family with you. Two years, later, you came back, I was hoping things are going to turned just fine, but you were there, standing in front of me, not remembering who I am, instead, appearing next to your fiance, Kyungmin."
Her reservoir broke, she tears came running out, profusely from her eyes. "I am sorry." Her words are soft, in a soft voice. "I didn't know." That was what she told me next.
"It's okay. You didn't know what had happened, and so am I." Inhaling a deep breath, I continued. "What I wish we could do, was to meet the doctor, maybe you could enrolled yourself for therapy or something, or at least we could get some advice from the doctor, on how can we treat your temporary memory loss. At the same time, I would like to request on reinvestigating this whole situation, from your accident."
Curving her lips upwards, she nodded. "Absolutely, we will make things right, I hope we will find answers soon."
"Namjoon!"
I was brought out to reality, when I heard my favourite voice, calling me.
"Yes?"
"There must be something going on in your brain, chill, turtle! It's still early. Can't you at least give your brain a rest, before exerting it to work, for the rest of the day?" She spoke, making me smile. If only she knew, she made my heart burst into excitement.
"Oh boy, what's with the laugh now?"
"You used to say the same thing before." She raised her eyebrow, curiosity was evident on her face.
"Can't you at least give your brain a rest? That's what you'll always told me. I am glad you call me turtle nowadays, it makes me feel like home. Coming home, greeted by you, eating food made by you. I missed it, a lot."
"Okay turtle, no waterworks this morning. You have a meeting going on in two hours time. Chop chop--"
"Off you go, turtle!" I mocked her. She then pushed me from behind to the door. Turning my body, to face her, I pecked her soft moist lips. "I understand, my diamond. Takes things slowly. Oh and don't forget, wear the black dress in my closet for tonight's dinner." I winked for waving her goodbye, and walked away.
