23 Hint of the dark past...Part2
Anisa:
"What was Ayman up to?"What made him challenge Iqbal?I refrained from thinking, telling myself that Iqbal had been against Ayman since college and that his jealously and hatred had driven him to such a low place.
I am really confused right now, and what would happen if Iqbal pulled out the gun I saw him carrying before Ayman arrived? He still has not taken it out.
"Let us put this behind us and become friends again," Ayman proposed, but Iqbal simply laughed menacingly and took away the gun.
"So you get everything while I don't?"First Mayra, then Anisa?and act like the ideal guy in this situation?"He said this as he stood in front of me, his gun resting on my head.
Anisa, quickly come up with something.I turned to face Ayman, but he seemed so composed and calm, as if he had a plan that would see Iqbal caught red-handed. I just nodded, trusting him more than I do myself, as he grinned.
He is my love. I adore my fiancé and am grateful to Allah for bringing him back. My mother taught me that if something is meant to be, it will be, and I now firmly believe that he will return.
Since she is so valuable to you, I will just kill her, and nobody will ever find out, right?"Do not mention it to anyone," he said while counting to ten, and I just kept praying.
"You are under arrest, Mr Iqbal, for attempting to murder and kidnap an innocent girl," the unfamiliar voice said, and the men dragged Iqbal while he was shouting that the game had only just begun and all that nonsense.
"Thank you so much officer," I heard another voice, and there stood Ayman's father, thanking the officer, while Ayman rushed towards me and stopped his hands from hugging me because it was not appropriate, and this increased my respect for me because he knew how to control me.
"Are you okay?"Ayman's father inquired, and I nodded. Mom and dad then embraced me tightly.
Ayman, the person who saved my life, just stood there. I whispered a thank you to him, and he smiled genuinely, and I saw his face soften slightly. "My daughter is okey she is okey thank you so much Allah and thank you Ayman," mom continued rambling, while the others were crying happy tears.

Once we were home Ayman's fsmily stayed back for lunch and dinner and I know Ayman has alot of questions now since he saved me he's my fiance and he deserves to know the truth.
"Let's give the kids some time they need to talk,"I heard voices among the elders while they agreed amd went in another room and Ayman came slowly he was silent all these time and it hurt to see him like that but n o more I will tell him marriage is a big step we need to start with trust and honesty.
He came and sat at abit distant next to my bed since I was told to explain.
"Ayman....,"I started but din't have enough courage what if he will think of me differently and think that I was with some other guy but just cause he came back now I am with him.
"Please tell me everything I know everything has happened because of me and it hurts to see you being hurt because of me,"he said in sad and low voice which made me look at him and he was also staring at me thinking about something.
"Nothing is your fault got it?Ayman please don't feel guilty I won't be able to bear it we have to be together in this journey supporting one another,"I explained to him and he agreed.
It all started some years after you left and people started taunting mom and dad you know how it is in our country especially indians people will question about a girl until she gives in and accepts like a girl has to get married early and all that.Iqbal approached dad and dad found out about him we heard so much positive about his family he was even our friend when we were young if you remember but then we lost contact mom asked neighbours and relatives then she told me to move on she was worried about me she wanted a good future for me and she did a mothers job.
She asked me and I accepted but still there was no sign of you not even a call Ayman.
Iqbal was so loving, caring he and his parents always asked what I wanted what my family wants and how to arrange all wedding functions but one day Iqbal just came up in my room and started forcing himself upon me he tried to remove my clothes and touch me.I was disgusted when he told me half of the ugly truth: his family only wanted money from mine, and he wanted to bring them down because of a business rivalry.
I wiped my tears, and he continued listening. Ayman was still around.
He told me it would be better to rape, but this would only hurt me. Therefore, he chose to physically torture me and continue the marriage until the wedding day, when he did the unexpected.
We waited for Iqbal at the masjid (mosque), but he never appeared until the sheikh, at which point each guest began to depart one by one. He never showed up, and his parents left around midnight.
Women began to whisper to each other and gave us a distasteful glance; everyone left, including our relatives.
It is true that we should never rely on anyone or have expectations, but we still look to our loved ones for support and affection!
"Anisa Look at me, Anisa. "He should have been gone by now, but I could not look at him when I heard his voice.
On her wedding day, a tortured girl was abandoned; who would want that?
"What brings you here?"I asked him, and as I stared at him, he looked sad and angry at me for bothering him with such a question.
"You think so little of me?" he asked, and I gave him a guilty look.
"Until I make you my own and grant you eternal happiness, I will not be leaving," he declared, and I simply stared at him, unable to process what he had said.
Was I imagining this? After everything I told him about my dark past, was Ayman really here?
*****
To be continued...
Who else is eager for Ayman and Anisa to tie the knot?
Note:
It is difficult for any girl to move forward in life, but we can only pray for other girls everywhere. May Allah accept our prayers on behalf of all the girls who are ill, struggling, or facing other challenges.
