She pulls away from the kiss. Did I do something wrong? Does she not like me? Is it my breath? What did I do? She looks out to the ocean in front of her with her beautiful eyes.

"Are you okay Alice?" I ask her. She is silent. She dosent talk but she takes a deep breath. "Simon...I don't know" she says. "What is it?" I ask her in worry. "I don't know if we could be a couple" she says. I'm stunned. "What?" I ask her. "What is it Alice tell me. I'm here" she sighs and looks at me. "I mean you are going to be gone in less than three days now" she starts saying. "In less than three days you will be gone and the only way we would be able to communicate is by long distance" she says. "And we all know that long distance relationships dont work very often. So what's the point?" She says. I take a moment and breath. I guess she has a point but I don't want this to end. I mean I never did ask her to be my girlfriend so it's not like we were going out too seriously. I wrap my arm around her and I bring her into a warm hug.

He hugs me as if it was his last hug he would ever give. In the chaos of it all I feel warm, safe and protected by him. "I know" he says. I look up at him. "Tell you what Alice. If you don't go to school for the next few days we can spend every minute together. You can come stay at the hotel with me and the rest of the Sidemen. We can abuse Vikk together, laugh together and do whatever we want together" I pull back. "Are you suggesting that I skip school? I mean as much as I would love it I can't. I-" he puts his finger to my lip. "Don't worry I'll keep you out of trouble in school. The principal said that he owed me big time once I got great reviews from performing at your school. I got a text from him in the hospital. So this is how he owes me back" he smiles at me. A nice warm feel good smile. I smile to. "Ok" I say with happiness. Simon leans in and hugs me again. "Come ok Alice lets go to the hotel. It's getting late and tomorrow I have to another school. And sadley I don't think you will be allowed in but it's the first lesson in the morning so I'll let you sleep in and I'll come back and wake you up" he says. I smiled. I like that idea. "Oh could we go to my place first. I'm still in my school uniform and I would like a change of clothes" I say. "Of coarse he says" we start walking off the jetty. He offers me his hand. Then I take it. "Hey Alice" he says. "Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asks me. I smile and look up at him. "Sure" I say. Then we stop and we hug and then kiss.
