Hey, okay so this next chapter is where things start to pick up and get more interesting, I hope you enjoy.

Percy's POV

The 3 alphas managed to get back before they were found out and just as well. Unfortunately that's what they thought but it turns out one of the Ares kids had told on us. So here we are picking up trash around camp which is humiliating to say the least especially if you were in the position we're in you would understand. *sighs* "dudes this sucks big time, I really thought we could pull it off too." I whined I seriously hated this and I mean all of it, this was stupid. Okay so we left camp, sure we ended up fighting a Minotaur like thing, it was dark ok. Either way that one wasn't found out, if it was we would probably been given worse punishment. Suddenly Clarrise appeared showing her ugly mug "hey loser, did you have getting into trouble? To be honest this suits you well worm. It's no wonder you get into trouble, you just can't not fuck something up. I'll tell you one thing, everyone else may be in heat over you but I assure you you have no effect on me."

I looked at her and the other 2 were hella confused, I smirked as I wasn't one to back down from a ugly rat like her. "You what Clarrise it's funny you should say that, most people who say that most likely do have a thing for the person otherwise why would there be any need to bring it up. Or is it the fact that Chris hasn't chosen a mate yet and you're just getting twice more bitchy because of it, look call me a worm or whatever but if you get toilet water all over you again it ain't on me hon. Oh and just so we're clear, I wouldn't even chose you if you were the last person on this planet." She went silent as did the other 2 before Jason whispered in my ear. "Perc don't you think that was a little too harsh? I mean she's still a girl and they have somewhat of a more emotional side than guys, she may seem tough but I think she's just hurting deep down inside. I mean some of it I agree but the rest of that isn't like you Perc, then again doing this isn't making my mood any better. But she didn't have the right to say what she said either so both of you are sorta in the wrong. Anyway just think about."

Thing was Jason had a point, I mean I guess I was a little too harsh, but she was being a bitch but I guess I did take it a little too far. I'll apologize to her later even though my wolf is completely against it. Why did I have to deal with this crap? I just want a normal life, a job without monsters trying to kill me every 5 seconds. Man things really have changed since I was 12, like prophecy that never made sense or barely happened. I was starting to wonder if I was even alive. I suddenly a hand clap my shoulder bringing me out of my thoughts, it was Nico who seemed impressed. "Percy I don't know how but u nearly cleaned up most of camp, you seemed like you were zoned out, that aside it's only a month now until we find our official mates.

Or though I personally don't mind being single with you and Jason" "Jason is likely to end up with Piper that or Reyna but that's as much as I can tell. I personally don't find anyone of interest at all, you and Will Solace seem like a good mash up. You know he keeps drooling over you every time we walk near the cabins right?" He looked at me taken by surprise "really? You think he likes me? I mean Shadow goes crazy when we walk pass his cabin." I slightly chuckle "go ask him if you're Alpha enough" he looked offended but he knew I was joking but decided to go anyway.

Now it was just me and no one else, plus I was tired, talk about a long days work and we had to do this for another 2 days. As I walked down the hill to my cabin I caught the smell of lavender and apple cider. I sniffed the air and followed it, as I got closer it was coming from the Athena cabin, my wolf was going crazy but me on the other hand felt slightly uneasy. Athena and Poseidon don't fathom each other at all, so this could only end badly. Why the Athena child of all lineages? I went to turn around before I heard a quiet yet nervous voice. "P-Percy? Is t-that you?" I turned around and saw a shy looking Annabeth who was a beta and was one of the best fighters we had, the scent I got before was coming from her. Sebastian was going nuts just being close to her. I suddenly felt protect over her and not the same I have for the camp but more personal. Her stormy grey eyes were actually pretty even though to others it scared them, she was intelligent and was actually kinda cute now that I look closer. "You're Annabeth Chase right? Beta I presume?" Her eyes shone and she suddenly dropped to her knees for some weird reason. "That is correct, I smelt your salty sweet sent and I wondered who it belongs to, so I guess this explains everything"

She seemed more confident than before  "you know you don't have to be this extra, but as weird as this may sound....I think you maybe my mate but I don't know 100% yet, if you do end up being my mate I will be the best mate you will ever have, I will also protect you and our future family with my life. That is an Alphas duty, but that's if you happen to be my mate which it seems likely that you are." He eyes were shining and they weren't just grey they now looked silver, she was also blushing heavily too. If this war really does happen and she turns out to be my mate, well it means I have to be more alert at all times. I suddenly felt a smaller hand grab mine and her skin was soft yet slightly rough from sword practice. I looked at her in which she wrapped her arms around my waist and held me close as if she was scared I would let her go. It was adorable to say the least but it was getting late and we really needed to get some rest, I walked her to her cabin before I went to mine.

For the rest of the night I laid in bed try to understand what's happened so far, I also decided to buy a journal when I returned home. It helped me to remember a lot of the time. After a while I eventually fell asleep but my dreams would only be nightmares.
