"I'M LOOKING FOR THE HOESSSS" Janae said screaming her own lyrics. Kaliya and Alyssa shook their asses and Janae smacked them in return. Amara laughed at her friend groups actions as she drank the mock tail she made.
"Amara get your black ass up gyal" Janae said trying to imitate a UK accent. "No thank you" Amara responded as she drank her drink. Alyssa came over to the kitchen island. "Amara you can't let his hoe ass affect you" she said sitting down. "Yeah but I never expected this from him. I thought we were in love. Why would he do this?' she says already feeling herself get emotional because of the pregnancy hormones. "And then on top of that I have to see him tomorrow because of that stupid photo shoot. Like what the fuck" she says blinking back tears.
"Have you talked to him?" Ettinnette says. "Nah. I had David text him for anything concerning with the baby" she says looking down. "Maybe you need closure," Kaliya says and everyone nods.
"What if what he says just ends up hurting me more"
Amara walked onto the set taking a sip of her venti coffee in an attempt to mentally prepare herself for today. She walks into her dressing room to be met with an array of flowers with no note whatsoever. She sighed at this poor attempt to get her attention as she prayed for God to get her through the day.
The flowers
Amara walked onto the photo shoot set once again fixing her curly hair as everyone silently watched her move with an expressionless face. She goes to the center of the set where Cench was already anxiously waiting. She turned to him. "What am I supposed to do again?" Amara said asking her ex boyfriend.
Cench's eyes linger on her for a second and Amara wishes for nothing else but to be in his arms again. "Well?" She says feigning annoyance and Cench finally tears his eyes away from her.
"Shit"
3rd Person Omniscient
As the photo shoot unfolded, an undeniable tension simmered between Amara and Cench, overshadowing the professional atmosphere. While Amara tried to adhere to the photographer's instructions, her thoughts kept drifting to the unresolved issues with Cench. Each click of the camera felt like a ticking clock, counting down their shared history.
Cench, too, struggled to maintain composure. The exchanged glances and unspoken words turned the shoot into a dance of memories, every pose a step in a choreography of love and heartbreak.
As the final shots were taken, Amara felt an emptiness that clung to her like a shadow. Cench hesitated, his eyes betraying a mix of conflicting emotions-a silent plea for understanding. The photographer called it a wrap, and the set hummed with equipment being packed away.
3rd Person Limited
"Amara, wait!" Cench shouts out as Amara walks out in the heavy pounding rain. "What?" she says annoyed. "Can we talk?" he desperately pleads as she rolls her eyes. "Okay then.Talk" she says, staring at him dead in the eyes. He keeps quite unsure of what to say and she scoffs. "You wasting my time right now," she says, smacking her teeth as she tries heading to her car once again. "Mars please" he says following after her. "I told you to stop calling me that shit" she says not even looking at him as she continues on to her car with Cench following her closely behind.
"Dude what the fuck do you want from me?!" she shouts at him realizing he was still following her. "I want you to listen to me!" he says, wiping the water dripping down from his face. "I gave you a chance to talk and you didn't say anything!" she shouts back at him. He goes silent again and she just scoffs wondering how she got here.Wasn't this the man she was just dancing in the rain with less than a few chapters ago?
Amara's mind echoed with the dissonance of the past and the present. Wasn't this the same man she had shared laughter and an intimate dance with just a few chapters ago, the rain serving as their backdrop of joy? The stark contrast between those euphoric memories and the current tension felt like a plunge into unfamiliar territory, leaving her bewildered at how things had unraveled so swiftly.
A sigh escaped her lips, a turbulent mix of exasperation and a subtle undercurrent of longing. The unexpected turn of events had caught her off guard, and now she found herself grappling with the shifting dynamics between her and Cench. The rain continued to pour, seemingly reflecting the tumultuous emotions swirling within her as she tried to make sense of the sudden discord between them.
"I'm sorry" he whispers as a tear falls down his already wet face. "Sorry doesn't fix that Oakley." she says as her voice breaks. "I know" he says as his voice breaks also. She smiles sadly at the man she still found ways to love. "Bye Cench" she says getting in her car leaving him there as he cried silently clueless on what to do.
Amara sat in her car, the rhythmic beat of the rain against the roof matching the chaotic cadence of her thoughts. She clenched the steering wheel, the cold metal providing a grounding force amid the emotional storm inside her. The words "I'm sorry" lingered in the air, a feeble attempt to bridge the chasm of pain that had opened up between her and Cench.
The windshield blurred with raindrops as she stared ahead, wrestling with the conflicting emotions that threatened to engulf her. His tear-streaked face flashed in her mind, a poignant image of vulnerability that stirred a complex mixture of sympathy and anger within her.
The engine hummed to life, and she maneuvered through the rain-soaked streets, seeking solace in the rhythm of the wipers and the distant rumble of thunder. The weight of the conversation lingered in the car, each drop of rain echoing the tears that had fallen between them.
Was it bad that she missed him?
