Mara walked into her photoshoot to take her album cover.She finally was done with it and now what was left was photoshoots,interviews and marketing.Yay.Amara was wearing a golden cross necklace with a white shirt that had red short sleeves and gray shorts.She had her glasses on she usually wore her contacts but her stylist deemed it fitting.Her hair was finally in its natural state after being in goddess braids for two months.She sat in her chair drinking her 'French Toast' latte from her favorite coffee shop around the way.She was in a good mood today because her mom was leaving for three months.Chinara didn't tell her daughters where she was going off too but it was for the best she thought.She's soon called on and she poses in the direction the director tells her to go in.She zones out and gets in her usual head space that she goes in when she's working.

After a while the director announces that they're done and Mars snaps out of it to see the results, her mother trailing behind her.

Her mother nods in approval and Amara grins from ear to ear.She loved it.She thought it showed who she was.The person no one got a chance to see.No one except for him. When he died her world shattered in every single way.It was as if the world stopped just for her as everyone else lived.Grief had struck her so hard that sometimes when she was at her lowest she would see him. She never told anyone because who would understand a girl that sees her dead father? Her mother had just had Juliet and was busy taking care of her.She was a quiet kid who didn't have many friends.Even with the ones she had it wouldn't make a difference.They were only eight years of age after all.

Most people would be terrified if they saw their dead dad but it gave Amara a sense of security.Security she hadn't felt in a long time.

"Bye Mum" Amara says waving to her mom entering the car."Miss you already" Juliet says as Chinara waves back at them from a distance.As soon as she's out of sight the two sisters let out a sigh of relief."Fucking hell I thought she was never going to leave" Amara says in exasperation."I know right" Juliet says leading the way back to into the penthouse.Amara walks into the kitchen grabbing some pretzels from her pantry popping one into her mouth.

"Oh Mum showed me your album cover.It's really good It suits you"

Mara smiles at her sister but then does a double take.Juliet was never this nice to her it was a weird feeling."Juliet what do you want" Juliet looks at her sister in fake shock."So I can't compliment my older sister nowadays"."You can't" Nella says jumping up from the couch stealing a pretzel from Amara.

"Fuck you Nels but she's right.Your only nice when you want something so tell me now or it's not happening at all" Amara states.Juliet can only look at her sister annoyed but comes up and hugs her."Can I please invite Noah over"."Your little boyfriend I presume" Nella says smirking."He is not my boyfriend...yet and I think he's going to ask me today so can he please come over Mar?" Juliet says, pouting a little.

"Fine but no going to second base or whatever your generation calls it.Door stays open at all times." Amara says allowing it.

"You sound just like Dad" Juliet chuckles letting her sister go but Amara freezes.Even the mention of her dad broke her.She blinks trying to snap back into reality but instead she sees the man himself.Staring at her with a bittersweet look on his face.Mara's mouth quivers and her eyes tear up.Her hand starts to shake and her breath starts to go quick until someone grabs her hand.She looks up and see's Nella staring at her with concern.

"Are you okay?" Nella mouths as Juliet finishes off the rest of the pretzels.Mara stares wide-eyed at her before nodding.Wiping the tears off of her face and sitting up straight.She puts on a shiny fake smile and clears her throat."I'm going to the studio.Don't wait up.And Nella watch Julie and that boy not joking i'm not ready to be the rich aunty just yet." Juliet flips Amara off and Mara pushes her head jokingly and grabs her keys exiting out the door.She gets in her car and drives off trying to push the encounter with her dead dad out of her mind.

Amara finally gets to the studio and pulls in sighing.Her mind was still heavy from what happened.She couldn't shake it off however hard she tried and it was getting to her.She gets out of her car and gets into the lobby when she bumps into someone dropping her songbook."Oh my god i'm so sorry.Are you good?" She sputters."Nah you're good." Oakley says picking up Mara's book."Thank you...Wait you're central cee aren't you?"."Yeah and you are.."

"Amara Jay" Amara responds with a smile."Oh you were on that one song with Lil Baby.Always n Forever"."Uh yeah that's me.I-I love your music by the way Doja is like one of my top songs right now"."Thank you much appreciated"."Yeah well i'll see you around sometime maybe"."Yeah for sure". Amara smiles at him and walks off waving back to him once.She walks a little further and appears in studio B.

"Hey chico" Amara says sitting down waving at the man."You got anything for me"."Yeah i've been working on this one track lemme show you."Chico says pulling it up.It soon plays and Mars starts to nod her head to the beat.She hums a melody and soon starts to replay itself in her head.

"Yeah shit I like this but I want it to get sped up a little y'know" Chico nods and speeds it up a little.Mara starts to grin really feeling it and she hums the melody she has in her head.But a thought gets into her head and she shakes her head."I need somebody else on this song.A guy." Amara says very sure. "Ok you got anybody in mind?" Amara thinks for a minute hearing song's from other artist in her head to see if it would fit and a lightbulb goes off in her head.She rushes out of the studio not hearing Chico's calls after her and runs to where she last saw Oakley.He's not there however and she run's to the parking lot where she sees him.She rushes up into him but stops herself so she doesn't scare him off.

"Cench!" she shouts out. Oakley turns back and smiles as she jogs up to him. "Ok so I know we just met less than ten minutes ago but I have this song right?And I wanna do a collab and I think it would match your sound.You think you can jump on it?" She says hoping he'll agree.

Oakley smiles at her, noticing how beautiful she is even though she's just wearing an oversized shirt and leggings. "Yeah sure I'll do it". She smiles a toothy smile and Oakley's heart flips in his chest."Thank you.You're the only one I could imagine with this song" .She says skipping into the studio Oakley floors behind her with a faint smile on his face at her excitement.

Her and Oakley get back to studio B quickly and Amara asks Chico to play the song again.He complies and they all sit in there just feeling the music.Until Amara starts to hum the melody from before.The two guys look at her as she hums feeling the music.

Oakley hugs Mara back taking in her embrace."No problem Mara" She pulls away and is handed a hard drive by Chico.She thanks him again and hugs him one last time before walking out of the studio.

"Hey wait up!" Amara turns to the voice and sees Oakley running after her.When he finally catches up Amara laughs at how exhausted he looked from running."I'm getting deja vu"."Ha,Funny" cee says as they start to walk.They walk in a comfortable silence until they get to Mara's car.

"This is where we part Cee" Amara says jokingly as oakley was standing there with his hand on his neck."But before we do can I get your number" Cee sputters out sounding a little nervous. Amara giggles at his sudden shyness and holds her hand out for his phone.Cee smiles a little bit as she puts her number in his phone ,him doing the same for her phone.She hands him back his phone kissing his cheek.
