"No it's not! Dammit JJ,quit treating me like a child!"

Iris groans and glares at the older male as they sit down underneath a tree.

Jean grins in reply,"But you've been staying up late these days,get some sleep,the King demands it!"

"No way,JJ. My dreams are weird." Iris huffs,Jean raises an eyebrow,"So? All dreams are weird."

"You havent seen mine then." The 16-year old huffs,"It's a batshit crazy kinda weird."

This erupts a laugh from the Canadian figure skater,as he pulls Iris closer to him,in a friendly way,of course.

"O-Oi! Quit laughing!"

"I-I'm sorry... It's just that... sometimes,A weird thing is likely just something familiar viewed from a Different Angle."

Iris opened her mouth to hit him with a snarky reply,but,felt herself calm down,as he started to rub her back,a weakness she's had even back then when they were younger.

"That isnt a scary thing,right?" Jean smiles,and Iris sighs.

"...Yeah,it isnt."

Iris recognized this song,Jean would use it as a lullaby to the kids whenever he babysat,and it also never fails to bring his siblings to sleep. It was one of those traditions that never died.

She never really understood the meaning,and decided it was about Change,and to not be afraid of it.

She found herself singing along with him.

23-year old Iris White looked down at the Streets of New York from the Avengers Tower Rooftop,and sighs to herself.

"A Tradition that has never really ceased,huh?" She smiles slightly and began to sing softly

"Let's Go in the Garden
You'll find something waiting
Right there where you left it
Lying upside down."

She began to remember a lot of things,and thought about the life she had at the moment.

She pictured Tony and Bruce doing Science in the Labs
She pictured Thor and Loki having a chat over poptarts and coffee
She pictured Natasha and Clint,not saying anything to each other,but just enjoying the serenity and each other's presence
She pictured Zoey and Pietro playing Video Games while Michiko and Wanda chat,watching them
She pictured Steve,Bucky and Sam sparring a little,but having a good time.
She pictured Vision just watching everyone,examining them out of curiousity

She pictured those mundane,but overall,peaceful moments as she sang

She was fully aware those moments never last long,like a Garden in general

Sun,Rain,Wind and Dirt would always begin to taint the upper world view of things,kinda how she dealt with accelarating her aging,she used to be 16,but with her powers,she aged herself to be 23.

Once she was older,she saw the world as harsh and unforgiving,and tainted her worldviews. Her Brainset wasnt prepared for any of it,after all,she was just a teen in an adult's body.

Iris was used to change,she always was,and yet she couldnt help but feel scared.

Change was constant,but it didnt have to be big,these small,subtle changes began to mature Iris into who she was now,yes,she was childish,but she's grown up,even if it's only a little bit. And to think she got all this from a song her old friend sang. Even if he was cocky,he was still someone,even with her current age,that Iris wouldnt mind him singing her to sleep just like that day under the tree.
