Chapter One: How it all began . . .

"Serena, it's our last month as seniors, just come to the party." The blue haired friend pulled the honey blonde. In response, she rolled her cerulean blue eyes as she had no interest. "Ash is going to be there." Miette teased waiting for her new answer, a small little smirk was forming on her mouth.

Serena looked at her; narrowing her eyes. "Miette, are you sure?" She nodded her head furiously. The last time Miette had said that was two months ago and to her disappointment, Ash wasn't there. She knew Miette would lie just to get her to accompany her.

Serena had a crush on Ash for a long time you can say.  It started when he befriended the honey blonde back in their Sophomore year when he was a new student and Serena was the first person he met since she was his guide. The many perks since she was an assistant in the main office. When she first talked to him she knew that they're were many things she liked about him: his attitude, smile, and determination.

Miette squealed as the two entered her car. "Plus, maybe tonight would be the night you get to actually talk to him without acting all shy." She noted with her index finger.

"Thing is, I haven't talked to him in forever. It will be weird," The honey blonde reasoned as her friend ignored her as she kept her focus on the road. Ash and Serena faded out towards their junior year, and it wasn't for any negative feelings. It just happened out of no where. Sometimes, she would stay up late thinking about it— in most cases

The moment they stopped at a red light, Miette looked over at Serena, "You two can always be friends again, there's nothing weird about that" She reasoned as the honey blonde somewhat nodded.

Miette's car had stopped, signaling Serena that they have arrived. Reaching over for the handle, Serena opened the car door and followed Miette into the small house. She saw how big the house was— almost like a mansion. Let alone that the music was loud and clear that one can here it whether being down the street, Miette tugged on her as she motioned Serena to walk.

Thoughts erupted into her head, she probably looked like one of Miette's lost puppy as she noticed every step she was taking Serena wasn't far behind. Serena felt a tugged on her arm causing her to look over and saw it was Clement's younger sister. She must have begged to come along which worried her since she's only a freshmen. "Serena!" She greeted.

She responded with a warm smile as Miette leaned over to Bonnie and whisper something in her ear. "A game? Alright." She shrugged walking away.

The honey blonde was left confused, she eyed Miette but all she got was a smile that was declaring she wasn't doing anything.   "Don't freak out." She whispered as she turned her best friend around, Ash was walking towards them.

He was with Clemont and Bonnie. His raven-haired was shown as he wasn't wearing his red hat. "Bonnie asked us if we can play a game with her," Clemont said while fixing his glasses.

Miette jumped up, "Sure," Miette grabbed Serena's hand and Clemont's with Bonnie and Ash right behind.

Ash looked at the honey blonde's direction, "Your hair is very long. It looks good on you." He smiled causing Serena to looks like a red tomato. She remembered that back then her hair would be shoulder length. Never long or short.

As they arrived at the patio. "No one's here, this would be a good spot," Miette said closing the loud noise of people conversing. "Let's play truth or dare!" Miette said waiting on Bonnie's confirmation.

Bonnie looked at Clemont and back at Miette. A smile crawled up her lips. "Yes! Let do that." She said.

Ash shrugged as he if was okay with the game.

"I'll go first!" Bonnie yelled. "Miette, truth or dare."

Miette took a second to think about it, "Truth." Bonnie pouted but then shook her head.

"Alright, Do you like someone?" She questioned waiting for the blue haired girl to talk.

Miette's cheeks turned a bright shade of pink, Serena felt a smirk coming from her lips as she glanced over at the boy with blonde hair looking bored. Miette had a tiny crush on Clemont, for some reason she developed a small liking for him. At first, it was hard to believe since her past crushes were always popular guys at our school.

"Yes." Miette answered, " My turn." She looked over at her best friend, quickly trying to avoid Bonnie from further into details. "Serena, truth or dare."

If Serena picks truth, she might question her something related to Ash. And, as he was currently waiting for her to answer. She can't risk that, she thought to herself. "Dare," Serena answered.

Miette surprised by her response had a dumbfounded look on her face. She looked at Bonnie. Bonnie took noticed of the situation. "Miette dares you to kiss Ash for 27 days straight."

The honey blonde's face fell, as she covered her flustered emotions with her hair. Ash looked surprised as he looked over her direction. "I can't do that," she interjected.

Bonnie shook her head, as Miette gave her a high-five. "It's a dare."

Ash began to speak. "Serena, I don't mind." He said. He felt bad that her friends put her up to that, and it seem wrong to decline the offer. What if she think negatively about his answer, and he wasn't going to risked that.

After hearing his approval, she began to fluster herself more. Clemont began to laugh as he found this amusing. "Fine," She said after composing myself.

Ash stood up from the ground, he took out his hand gesturing her to take it. Serena nervously took it, as she got up. The two were up and looking into each other eyes. Nervous, Serena felt her hands tugged on to his shirt, bringing him down to her height.

Pressing their lips together, she was melting inside. He was surprisingly kissing her back, which made her feel so many emotions. But then, she released him.

Miette was currently squealing as Bonnie was brushing off her nails. "I didn't say it had to be on the lips but, now it does." She remarked.

Ash began to laugh, making the honey blonde laugh along. "I have to get going," Miette got up from the ground. "Serena, you can stay. Just ask Ash if he can offer you a ride." She hugged her dear friend as she gave her one of her famous winks.

"Wait," Serena said but saw she had ran off.

"Clemont, let's go," Bonnie said grabbing her brother's arm and dragging him away.

"Do you want to go now?" Ash asked catching her off-guard. Serena nodded her head, as she began to follow him. "Maybe, this dare would finally get us to be close like before." He stated, opening the car door to let her inside.

Surprised she let out a giggle, "Very funny." looking at the boy she had always admired from afar. She saw as he closed the door and walked to his seat. He got in and closed the door as he turned to the honey blonde.

"Besides, you're a good kisser." Ash winked at her causing Serena to flush with emotions once more. He noticed which he found quite adorable. He usually was never upfront when it came to flirting, but he couldn't help it as he was kind of having fun.

Serena shrunk in her seat, as he was talking about old memories. Did he feel anything when she kissed him, she questioned herself. Serena was hoping some kind of reaction but he didn't showcase anything.

"Serena, I always wondered why we stopped talking, you are pretty fun to be with," He admitted as he recalled their hangouts.

The honey blonde looked at the kantonian and shrugged, "School got in the way?" She questioned remembering how their junior year stressed her out. The many slept-less nights she had working on her portfolio and designs. The many internships she did with companies here in France.

Ash was busy too, cause that year he started to work after school and had his clubs that he did with Clement. He was silent before he broke the tension, "Do you still live in the same house?" Ash questioned breaking her from the thoughts that always haunted her.

"Yeah," she replied as he nodded and kept driving. Looking out the window seeing they already were in her neighborhood.

Ash kept driving until he reached Serena's house. He was taken back by the event that occurred earlier. There was one thing that kept replaying in his mind, and that was:

The kiss between Serena and him.

Ash helped Serena out of his car, He walked her to her house. "Thank you Ash, for the ride." She said shyly.

"No problem," he said giving her a warm smile. After a couple seconds, she entered inside, leaving him to turn back to his car.

He entered his car thinking about the kiss, and their small conversation. He couldn't deny the fact that he liked Serena back in their sophomore year. He recalled the first day he met her, and saw how she was different from the girls in Kanto.

I guess kissing Serena won't be bad. Plus, this way she would have to talk to me. He thought to himself.

He smiled at how he's finally going to get her to be his friend once more. And, this time he would put more efforts, so they don't fade-away from one another after high school.

Ash drove back home, entering his house, a certain cat ran up to him. "Hello, Pikachu." He smiled petting his bright yellow fur. His cat that he got back in junior year when pikachu was a little kitten.

"Ash? Are you home?" he heard a voice from the kitchen and he knew it was his mother.

Ash yelled back, "Yes, mom!" While he carried Pikachu to his room. "You won't believe what happened," The raven-haired boy said to the cat.

Pikachu laid on top of his stomach, Ash took it that he was listening. "Remember Serena, the pretty girl with honey blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and she smelled like cookies," He said looking at the yellow fuzzball.

Pikachu licked his arm, "So you do." Ash said looking at his behavior. "Anyways, she has to kiss me 27 days straight," Ash told him and Pikachu looked straight at him if he was surprised.
