❄️Chapter Thirty❄️
What's up, y'all?
This book is coming to an end sadly and I'm really close to finishing it so here are some back to back updates, until I finish this book anyway
Straight after university, even though Kodaviah didn't actually want to do so, he had driven Vishavané to J Star Valentine and Shawntae's house.
He had never ever thought that he would have had so much in common with her, which he was clearly mistaken about.
Vishavané had ended up being a much better friend than Kodaviah's other friends.
They had just arrived in front of their crib, which had looked like this overall:
Kind of like one of the mansions in Sims 4, but it was still really fancy regardless.
The song This Is How We Do by 50 Cent was playing in the background as well.
This, is, how, we do
We make a move and act a fool while we up in the club
This, is, how, we do
Nobody do it like we do it so show us some love
This, is, how, we do
We make a move and act a fool while we up in the club
This, is, how, we do
Nobody do it like we do it so show us some love
"Seems like there's a party."
"There is a party," Kodaviah had realised, frowning. "I didn't get invited though."
There must have been some misunderstanding, of course he had gotten invited.
He had worked for J Star and Shawntae.
It would have been strange for them not to invite him.
Vishavané had then gotten out of the car, with Kodaviah, and there was a huge line.
Because everybody had now more or less known that Kodaviah had worked with J Star and Shawntae, they had made way for him.
And Vishavané.
J Star Valentine was the one that was checking that people here were actually on the guest list.
Kodaviah was the one that had reminded him that he didn't get invited to the party- and he did apparently.
He just didn't check his text messages that much.
Made sense.
J Star didn't seem too happy when he had seen Vishavané though, because as far as he was concerned, Kodaviah wasn't allowed to invite anyone over.
"Oh please. I was going to come anyway."
J Star had just looked at Vishavané, not saying anything, then he had let her inside.
Apparently, Kodaviah was doing his test now.
He needed to do a test to see if he would have been able to stay as J Star and Shawntae's assistant in twenty seven days.
It had just gotten moved to today.
Which wasn't fair at all... Kodaviah wasn't ready.
It was a mini test apparently, so it didn't really count towards anything.
It was a game.
He wasn't ready, although J Star Valentine had told him not to stress over anything because the mini test was going to be easy.
He had then taken him to the back of his mansion, where a lot of people had gotten drunk, were having intercourse with each other, were literally grinding on each other or were kissing.
This sucked.
Now Kodaviah could have seen why Brandy didn't want him to come here.
She was just trying to protect him.
Like Kodaviah had been doing with her all of these days and weeks.
When he had arrived, J Star Valentine had then taken the microphone away from Shawntae's hand, announcing Kodaviah's presence.
Vishavané had been right behind him the whole time, and literally too.
He didn't even the time to prepare for this test, wanting to know what it was.
It wasn't too bad- at first.
J Star Valentine had known that Kodaviah was a good dancer, not just because he had been in his music videos a lot as a dancer.
But also because he had thought him how to dance at the same time.
All he had to do was to beat people on this dancing game known as Dance Central 3.
He was going to verse ten people back to back, also needing five wins minimum to remain as their assistant.
So if he had lost five times or less then Kaboom to him.
"Ten people back to back?"
"There'll be breaks."
The thing was, Kodaviah couldn't even have decided who he wanted his partner to be- there were going to be five girls.
And five boys.
They were all extremely professional dancers as well, and they were going to take turns choosing a song as well.
Only the winner could have chosen one.
He was scared, looking to Vishavané for help right now because he really didn't know what the heck he had gotten himself into.
Vishavané had just mouthed that he would have been fine, and he had believed that.
It was a shame that that didn't come true.
J Star Valentine had completely lied about the fact that there were going to be some breaks, their breaks was ten minutes maximum but that was it.
By the seventh person, Kodaviah was beyond tired.
Eight and he felt sick.
Ninth and he wanted to give up.
Tenth and he had lied down on the floor, only ending up winning three times.
In the songs that he had chosen.
They weren't allowed to choose the really easy songs, it had to be from medium above.
Not only did he feel sick, he had also thrown up as well, with them wanting to call the ambulance as soon as possible.
Whilst most people were laughing at him, the people that had actually cared about him had tried to get him to the hospital as soon as possible.
J Star Valentine had taken it way too far.
He didn't even lose anything if he had lost, the only thing that Kodaviah had really lost was the fact that he wasn't their assistant anymore.
In one of the dances, because she had realised that he was really struggling, Vishavané had decided to help him out.
They had won but that didn't count because Kodaviah didn't even play himself.
As Kodaviah was unconscious in the ambulance chair, and at the hospital room as well, that was when Vishavané had decided to talk to her ex best friend Brandy about everything.
Sadly, her selfishness and her being mad at Kodaviah had gotten in the way of everything.
