Chapter Twenty-seven
"Your dress is so beautiful," All three bridesmaids awed at the sight of the honey blonde.
"You actually made this?" Bonnie asked in disbelief as she looked at the dress.
"It was a pain, but in the end, it was all worth it," Serena admitted while Bonnie nodded and grabbed her veil. She gestured for Serena to turn around as she was going to place it. "Shauna, can you go check up on Ash?"
Shauna stood up from her seat, "What for?" She asked as her eyebrows were furrowed in curiosity.
"I know Ash likes to get ready at the last minute. And, it would be nice if he was on time," The bride admitted while Shauna left the room and headed to Gary's room.
As she was arriving in the room when she spotted her husband and Ash's best man."Where's Ash?" Shauna asked while Clemont and Calem looked away avoiding eye contact.
"He's in his room," Calem lied while Shauna nodded ready to leave before Gary ran up to them.
He took heavy breaths to try to calm himself down. It seems he had been running around,"I can't find him," he spat out, but then realized that one of Serena's bridesmaid was in front of them. He wanted to kill himself for speaking carelessly without noticing that people could be around to hear the situation.
She crossed her arms and took a step forward, "You can't find who? Ash?" Her eyes were piercing down into his soul while Calem mouthed something towards him.
You damned fucked up.
Gary stood up straight, "Did I say 'him'? I meant to say it. I can't find it as in I can't find my phone." He stirred up the lie and was proud of himself for being to able to say it without hesitation.
"Isn't that your phone in your hands?" She asked pointing at his cellular device that was indeed in his hand. He mentally cursed himself for not coming up with a better lie.
Shauna turned her heels and looked directly at her husband, "Calem, please don't tell Ash is missing," she stated hoping that she would be reassured that he was in his room.
He remained silent and grabbed Clemont to shield him from what's coming from his lovely wife. "He ran off!" She shouted as he ran to her side and covered her mouth. She struggled to scream but managed to stay still.
"Sweetie, he ran off but he was dressed up in his tux," He tried to calm her down but saw how her eyes were showing a fire pit as she looked at him.
She pushed her husband away and turned to the three men in front of her, "Why did he run off?" She interrogated the three boys. They all turned their heads to Gary, he turned to see who they were looking at but realized their eyes were on him. "It wasn't my fault," He declared throwing his hand up in annoyance.
Shauna pinched the bridge of her nose as she took a deep breath. After calming herself she said "I won't tell Serena, but you guys better find him," the three guys nodded and ran off.
She walked back into Miette's room and saw Serena sitting without her headpiece. "Bonnie went out to get our back up, this one broke," She explained calmly. "Is he ready?"
Shauna looked away but managed to nod her head. Serena looked at her suspiciously. "He's all dressed up," She lied.
"What color is his handkerchief?" She questioned her poor friend. She looked over at Miette asking for help. It angered her how her friend wasn't even aware of the situation and she happens to be the maid of honor.
Instead, the bluenette was currently fixing her makeup. "White?" She answered as Serena got up.
"Where is he?" She asked firmly ready to kill him once she finds him.
Shauna crossed her arms, "Calem said that he ran off," She admitted while Serena ran off into the hall.
Miette noticed and was ready to run after her, "She left her heels," She stated but then told me to stay here till she brings back Serena. Shauna nodded and took out her phone ready to dial Calem.
Meanwhile, Ash ran back into the hotel. He was mad that Gary didn't put effort into finding the necklace. Gary tried to defend himself stating that he did look all over the hotel room, but couldn't find it.
Ash ended up going back to their apartment which was a fair distance away, but he didn't care. He wanted to find that necklace. His plan was to see her first thing in the morning, but apparently, that didn't go as plan.
He walked inside the venue where he admired the final look. A smile was set on his face. He was getting married today.
"Ash!" He heard a familiar voice scream at him as he turned to look at the owner of the voice. He saw Serena in white. He immediately covered his eyes. "Why did you run off? Is something wrong?" She began to ask questions as he felt her grab his free hand.
"There's nothing wrong," He replied.
"Then why did you run off?"
He saw the chance to give her the necklace, and he did. "Cover my eyes please," He stated while she placed her hand on his. With his free hand, he took the necklace out of his pocket. "You can stop now," Serena removed her hands, and saw Ash had his eyes close. "I wanted to give you this since yesterday, but I couldn't find it,"
Serena was ready to let some tears escape as she saw the beautiful silver necklace. "You didn't have to,"
"It been in my family's generation for a long time," He informed her, and she couldn't help but feel so touch.
"Ash, you can see me," Serena said.
Ash slowly opened his eyes and saw that she wasn't completely ready. He didn't want to admire her dress, so he kept his eyes on her face. "Can I put this on you?" He asked as she nodded her head flustered.
It reminded him of the time where it was their two month anniversary and he got her a necklace. Seeing her reaction reminded him of eighteen-year-old Serena. She turned around and moved her hair to the side.
He unclipped the necklace and placed it around her neck. He clipped it on and placed her hair back. "It fits you," He commented while she touched the necklace around her neck. She gave him a hug as a thank you.
"I'll see you at the altar," She whispered softly as he nodded. Once the two pulled away, Ash turned around and left at the other exit trying to avoid seeing his future wife.
Serena walked back to the room, where she saw the three girls waiting. "Serena your ceremony is going to start soon," Miette stated as she handed Serena the shoes.
"Where did you get that necklace?" Bonnie questioned ready to put the veil on the bride's head.
She blushed at the mention of the jewelry. "Ash gave it to me. It's a necklace that has been passed down,"
The three girls smiled and quickly helped the bride get ready.
While Ash went back into Gary's room where he saw his friends pacing around. Gary took notice and walked towards him. "You are so lucky that I can't kill you since Serena will then come after me," He stated.
"Where did you go?" Clemont asked.
"I gave her the necklace," He stated while they were ready to smack their heads into a wall.
"We are running late," Calem announced grabbing the Ash's vow and handed it over to Clemont.
"Let's go," Gary pushed the groom out of the door. And headed to the reception.
The groom entered the reception where he spotted his family to one side. He gave them a welcoming smile since a good amount of them hadn't been here before.
Ash made his way through the line and stood at his position. The minister turned towards him as he gave a smile. "Are you nervous?" He asked.
The raven-haired shook his head, "But I am the happiest man alive," The women sitting on the piano bench began to play on the piano. Her fingers glided swiftly on each key that was being pressed.
He looked forward as he spotted his mom being escorted by Samuel Oak. She gave him a big smile and took her seat. Behind her was Grace walking down the aisle with her brother, Calem's father, then came in Clemont and Miette with their elbow link since they were the maid of honor and best man. Gary and Bonnie were following behind them, with Calem and Shauna.
Ash took notice of their dresses. It was tinted pink color that fits well with the theme of the wedding. His full attention averted to Esmée in a slight rose and white colored dress. She threw pink petals around, behind her was his future wife.
She had her arm linked to her father. And this time, Ash took a good look at her dress. This beautiful handmade dress looked stunning on her. His eyes began to water at the sight of how well the silver necklace fit onto her collarbone complimenting her sleeved dress. He noticed her tail was short but was glad since their dance would be easier.
The bride approached her groom where he stepped down to receive her from her father. "Thank you for always taking care of her," He stated as he gave him a hug, and a longer one to his daughter before joining his wife.
Serena handed her bouquet to Miette as she then looked at Ash. She noticed his tears and placed her hand under his eye. She wiped it off and gave him a smile.
The two then looked at the minister as he began to speak:
"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Ash Ketchum and Serena Yvonne in marriage. In the years they have been together, their love and understanding of each other have grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife."
The couple looked at each other as the minister continued on:
"Ash Ketchum and Serena, today you are surrounded by your friends and family, all of whom have gathered here to witness your marriage and to share in the joy of this special occasion. Today, as you join yourselves in marriage, there is a vast and unknown future stretching out before you. The possibilities and potentials of your married life are great; and now falls upon your shoulders, the task of choosing your values and making real your dreams. Through your commitment to each other, may you grow and nurture a love that makes both of you better people. A love that continues to give you great joy, and also a passion for living that provides you with energy and patience to face the responsibilities of life. May we have the vows,"
Clemont handed the groom the slip of paper that Ash has spent countless weeks of perfecting. He cleared his throat, "Serena, I want to start by saying you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was very dense back then to not realize the feelings you had for me. I never told you this but I too had always like you more than a friend when we were fourteen years old. This day probably wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for a silly dare from a prankster and your best friend. You changed my life so much: you always been able to make me smile, help me out when I'm lost, take care of me when I'm sick. And, now I want to return the favor by making you, my wife. With you being my wife, I want to make you the happiest women out there because you are very special to me and I truly love you," The groomed finished as he realized that his bride already had some tears form into her eyes.
He carefully wiped it away not wanting to ruin her makeup, "Ash Ketchum, I Serena Yvonne had always known what I felt about you. That year of separation tore me as I tried so hard to remove you from my thoughts I managed, but I can't change my heart. I really love you, Ash. I promise by the name of our love that I would always be there to watch over you til sickness and death. You are the only person I can ever see myself truly be happy. You were my best friend, and I can't wait to call you my husband."
The minister smiled as he gestured for the rings. Calem was the ring barrier, and he walked to the couple and placed the pillow infront of them.
Ash took the small wedding band and grabbed Serena's hand. He gently slide the band on her ring finger. It was now her turn, and she grabbed the remaining band. She took his hand into hers as she slide the band onto his.
"Do you Serena Yvonne, take Ash Ketchum to be your lawfully wedded husband, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"
Serena looked at the man in front of her. The boy who always had her heart, "I do."
"Do you Ash Ketchum, take Serena Yvonne, to be your partner in life and to share a path of life with; equal in love, embraced as a mirror for your true self, promising to honor and cherish her, through good times and bad, until death do you part?"
The raven-haired groom looked at his beautiful bride. "I do,"
"I hereby pronounce you husband and wife," The minister announced as the couple gave each other a smile before Ash placed his arm around her waist and pulled her towards him as their lips made lip contact.
They pulled away after hearing cheers from their family and friends. Serena gave Ash a hug, "We are now married," She whispered as Ash nodded.

"Everyone is seated. Tierno is about to introduce you two," Miette informed us as she left to her table.
"Give it up for our new wedded couple, Ash and Serena Ketchum," He announced as the two walked into the venue where everyone was seated. "If everyone can stay seated, the couple will have their first dance,"
We walked into the center court. Tierno played Serena's music, and we began to sway side to side. I looked to my left where I spotted Trevor's wife recording us. "Serena," The groom said grabbing the attention to his now wife. "I'm going to carry you for our second dance," He stated firmly while she looked to the side.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" She questioned.
He nodded as she soon placed her head on his shoulder. Their dance went on for another minute before it was cut short. "This second dance is choreographed by yours truly," Tierno teased as Serena and Ash separated.
You know I want you...
They approached each other in slow steps in circular motion.
It's not a secret I tried to hide
I know you want me
So don't keep saying our hands are tied
They finally reached towards each other as Ash took out his hand waiting for Serena to grab it.
You claim it's not in the cards
Fate is pulling you miles away
And out of reach from me
But you're here in my heart
So who can stop me if I decide
That you're my destiny?
Ash began to lead Serena with swift motions.
What if we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine
Nothing could keep us apart
You'd be the one I was meant to find
It's up to you, and it's up to me
No one can say what we get to be
So why don't we rewrite the stars?
Maybe the world could be ours
Tonight
Ash and Serena let go as they backed away from each other. The audience was clapping as they were enjoying the dance. Many of Ash's friends, Gary, was surprised to see Ash actually dance well.
You think it's easy
Now it was Serena's turn to take the lead for the second verse.
You think I don't want to run to you
But there are mountains
And there are doors that we can't walk through
I know you're wondering why
Because we're able to be
Just you and me
Within these walls
But when we go outside
You're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all
Serena released his hands and spun around in her dress. Tierno had warned her it would be difficult if the dress had a long tail which is why she didn't add that. Now, it was the chorus but she continued to lead.
No one can rewrite the stars
How can you say you'll be mine
Everything keeps us apart
And I'm not the one you were meant to find
It's not up to you
It's not up to me
When everyone tells us what we can be
How can we rewrite the stars?
Say that the world can be ours
Tonight
At that moment, Serena and Ash were now pressed together. Serena's hand was placed on his face as she looked at him. He had his arm on her waist. "Are you ready?" He questioned her. She nodded as she moved her hands onto his shoulder. He tightens his grip as he carried her upward. She looked down at him and smiled.
All I want is to fly with you
All I want is to fall with you
So just give me all of you
He stopped circulating in motion as he set his wife down slowly.
It feels impossible
it's not impossible
Is it impossible?
Say it's possible
The couple now latched on to each other as no was leading but instead now working together on the steps. The audience cheered as they were enjoying the performance so far.
How do we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine?
Nothing can keep us apart
Cause you are the one I was meant to find
It's up to you
And it's up to me
No one can say what we get to be
Why don't we rewrite the stars?
Changing the world to be ours
Ash and Serena stopped in their tracks as he lifted her hands closer to his mouth, and pressed his lips against her soft pale hands. Everyone who was watching clapped as the two looked at their guest.
"As the couple eats. We will soon have the best man, Clemont gives his toast," Tierno announced.
Ash helped Serena get to their table where they were already ambushed by their friends.
"Since when can you dance?" Gary asked his best friend who was already eating down a whole dish.
He mumbled a few words but Serena scoffed at him due to the fact that his mouth was full of food. He gulped the food and began to speak clearly. "We took dance lessons with Tierno," Ash answered while the bridesmaid was giving huge hugs to the bride.
***
The groomsmen and the bridesmaid offered to stay behind and put some gifts and other items into Delia's car while the couple escape to their suite. The honey blonde felt bad, but after many reassurance she finally accepted their offer.
"Serena come on," Ash stated as he carried her bridal style.
"I still can't believe we are married," Serena squealed a little bit toxicated from a few drinks.
"I finally get to call you my wife," Ash stated as he rubbed his nose against hers causing her to fluster in his arms.
Ash opened the door to their suite, and set her down on the bed. "Clemont told me that Gary was the one to put our luggage here," He informed his wife as he quickly examined each bag.
We are supposed to fly out tomorrow morning, he had arranged the time being around 10am. They also left Miette and Clemont in charged of helping Ash's family heading back to the airport. Gary also offered to help since we he was going to fly back to Kanto tomorrow evening.
"Everything is here," Ash announced while Serena nodded as she looked at him move across the room.
"Did you see the look on Miette's face when she caught the bouquet," The honey blonde giggled recalling her bluenette friend eyes widen that the bouquet landed in her hands. "And, better that Clemont caught the leg garter," She rambled on.
He rolled his eyes playfully at how adorable she was when she was kind of drunk. "Do you want champagne?" He asked holding the bottle and two glass cups that he found on the table.
Serena nodded as he popped opened the bottle and began to pour some on her cup, only a little bit since he doesn't want her going out of control. He sat beside her and handed her the cup. She took a sip, before looking at her husband who drank the whole thing in one gulp.
"I never got to tell you, but you look very beautiful in this dress," He commented as his face was looking at his wife. "I got myself such a talented wife," He teased.
She was flustered once more, "You look handsome yourself," She managed to tease back as he chuckled.
He set down their cups as he took off his shoes and helped Serena out of her heels. As he got up he gave her a kiss on her lips. Their lips moved in sync as he got up on top of her. His hands managed to unzip her dress while she had removed his tie and was unbuttoning his shirt.
The honey blonde took off his dress shirt, and was now taking off his tank top. He had helped her out of her dress and she was now in her wedding lingerie. He separated their lips as he looked directly at her eyes. "No more waiting?"
"We waited long enough," She answered back as she leaned in to place her lips on his once more.

"Is everything there?" Serena questioned Ash as they finished loading on the taxi. Ash nodded as they both got inside the yellow vehicle and were now heading to the airport.
Ash was holding her hand as he played with it. He liked seeing that her ring finger was occupied with a matching ring that he had.
"Can you give me a hint where our honey moon is?" Serena asked.
"You'll soon find out," Ash replied while she pouted. He gave her a sweet kiss on her cheeks since he knew she didn't like when people pinch her cheeks.
"I see you two just got married," The old man commented with a chuckle. The couple looked at the driver as his attention was on the road. "You two remind me of me and my wife," He stated as Serena leaned forward a bit.
"How long have you guys been together?" She questioned while the old man remained quiet.
"Its been sixty-five years," He answered while Ash and Serena both looked at the man surprised.
"You look don't look like your in your seventies," Ash commented while the old man chuckled.
"I met her when I moved to Japan at the age of six, yes we got married later on but it feels like I have been with her since I was a boy," He explained while Ash was doing the math in his head.
"So, your in your early seventies or late sixies?" He questioned while the man nodded.
"We had our wedding in her home town in Tokoyo. We recently had came back to my home for a celebration for my family," He continued on.
The vehicle stopped as he informed them that they were here. They thanked the old man as Serena paid and Ash was unloading their luggage. He placed on his backpack as he was grabbing his tickets and passport.
They were now waiting for their call. Ash told Serena to stay in the waiting area as he gave them his ticket and luggage.
He returned with two plane tickets that says where they were going. But, he decided she would know once they depart.
"Ash! Serena!" They heard voices as they saw it was the couple's friends and family.
They exchanged hugs, "I hope you two enjoy your honeymoon," Delia stated as she squeezed the two in her arms.
"Does she know?" Gary questioned while Ash shook his head. After a few minutes of talking they were soon interrupted by a voice.
"Plane 36A ready to depart for Hawaii,"
"That's our plane, Sere," Ash stated as Serena's eyes widen.
"You actually picked Hawaii?" She was caught off guard as their friends and family were amuse by her reaction. Ash nodded as she leaped happily and gave him a hug.
"Its funny that these twenty-seven days passed so quick," Bonnie commented as she humored herself.
Everyone turned their heads confused. She rolled her eyes before taking her phone out. "Its May 27th,"
The end
A/n
This is such a long chapter, the most I have ever written in fact, but on the flip side the book is finally over!!!
I mean there is going to be an epilogue, but that's going to be on hold til I start working on Pokemon Academy.
Anyways, I want to thank everyone for sticking through til the end. And, for encouraging me to write a sequel. When I first started this out, I was doing it just for fun. But, I'm truly glad that a lot of people liked this story. If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't have done a sequel especially since I went into a lot of research for this book. I looked up checklist of a month left til wedding, orders of how certain events go, and what goes where. Also, learned new names for a lot of items.
This chapter took long because I also started my junior year in highschool Haha.
Anyways vote and comment! <3
