"Newt?"

Newt wakes up with a soft arm caressing his bare body. He opens his eyes to see Tommy smiling.

"Hey Tommy." He presses a soft kiss to his lips. "I gotta go." He pulls out of bed and picks up his jeans.

"Don't go." Thomas begs.

"I gotta. Y/N will be waiting,it's getting dark." Newt told Thomas. Referring to Y/N,his girlfriend. He'd been sneaking around with Thomas for months.

"I don't wanna be your second choice Newt. I'm tired. So sick and tried of it."

"Ok," Newt leans down and presses a soft kiss to his Tommy's forehead "I'll leave her. Tonight."

"I don't... want anyone to get hurt."

"I can't guarantee that." Newt whispers as he pulls on the rest of his clothes before leaving. He grabs his car keys and heads down to the car park for Thomas' apartment. The ride home is Newt attempting to come up with excuses with Y/N. Despite her not being the one he truly loved,he still didn't want to hurt her.

The familiar sound of shuffling in the bedroom alerted Newt of the fact that Y/N was home. He grabbed his suitcase out the storage cupboard and made his way into his an Y/N's room.

"Where you going sweetie?" Y/N asks,resting herself against the doorframe

"I'm going." Newt responded,unable to look at her as he began to fill his suitcase with everything he owned or could think of.

"What?"

"I'm leaving."

"Why?"

"It happens."

"Are you serious?"

"This is how I want it."

"Why!?"

"Y/N,don't..."

"No... no.  After everything we've been through you are not walking out that door unless you can tell me why. Tell me! Tell me why!"

"When I first met you,I thought you were the last person on earth,the only person I could love. You're not." Newt sighs and grabs his suitcase,trying to block out the sound of Y/N's cries as he makes his way to the car. He slides his keys through the letter box and climbs into the car.

"Goodbye Y/N." He starts the engine and drives off,leaving her behind forever.
