Day 5 ~ Rivetra ~ One Thing Leads to Another
"Dammit Petra, you're making a mess." Levi scolded as he watched the girl throw popcorn in the air, and catch it with her mouth. Well, try to. "Just watch the movie."
"I need to do this! Oluo was bragging yesterday because he could do it, of course he bit his tongue in the process, but he did it! So I have to be able to do it too." Petra threw another piece in the air, and it came back down at her face, hitting her nose, then falling onto the couch, and onto the floor. "Dammit." She scolded herself, as she readied her next popcorn kernel.
"Is this really necessary?"
"Yes! Can you even do it?" Petra paused her little game, and turned to look at him.
"It's stupid, why would I waste my time doing such frivolous things?"
"So, what I'm hearing is, you can't?" Petra asked, almost in disbelief.
"Tch."
"That means, if I can do this, I can do something that you can't!" Petra started to throw more kernels in the air, and Levi cringed as they hit the floor along with the others that had fallen previously.
"You can already do many things that I can't."
"Really? Like what?"
"Bleed for a week and not die, get pregnant, be happy all the fucking time, have breasts, and-"
"You need to stop yourself." Petra glared the best she could at him.
"What? I'm just stating the facts."
"All women can do that, you idiot." Petra crossed her arms.
"And you are a woman, so you can already do things that I can't, considering I am a man. But there are also things that I can do, as a man, that you can't, as a woman, such as having a d-"
"Stop. You need to stop."
"Are you getting frustrated?" Levi almost smirked.
Petra didn't reply, she just grabbed a handful of popcorn from the bowl, and threw it at his face. He glared at her as he wiped his face with a his napkin.
"Are you getting frustrated?" Petra mocked, smirking at him, and struggling not to laugh at his irritated face.
"Are you mocking me?"
"I don't know, would you be mad if I was?"
"I don't know," Levi started moving closer her, until he was inches away from her face, "would I?"
"It's kinda hard to tell, really. I mean, you always look angry. Why don't you smile more?" Petra started backing up a bit.
"Because. Why do you smile so much?" Levi asked, moving a bit closer to her face, the blush on her cheeks becoming a deeper red.
"Why not? I mean, there's things to smile about, don't you think? We have friends," Levi started inching closer to her, and she backed up until her back hit the armrest of the couch, "and they care about us, and..." Petra slipped off the couch, and started backing away.
Levi stood up, following her. "Really? But what about all the things that don't, or shouldn't make us smile?" He walked closer to her, until she hit the wall, and then he put his arms up, his hands hitting the wall on both sides of her head, trapping her between them.
"Well, uh, they, uh, uh..." Petra trailed off, not able to speak with Levi's face inches away from her own. She could feel her face burning, and knew she was blushing.
"Aren't you going to answer?" Levi asked, a smug look on his face. She could tell that he was enjoying this. That asshole.
"I smile because I have those friends, like you, and Hanji, and Erwin to help me through the times that shouldn't make me smile, and that makes me smile. If that makes any sense..." Petra answered, the blush still on her face.
"It doesn't. But half the things you do don't make any sense. But that's also what makes you so beautiful and irresistible." Without giving her time to react, he slammed his lips against hers in a demanding and rough, yet loving and soft way.
Their kiss was not lived long, much to both of their dismay, as Hanji had bursted into the room, rambling on about how she had seen everything, leaving Petra speechless, and Levi with a smirk that was unable to be hidden.
