Day 13 ~ Rivetra ~ Rude
"Are you seriously just going to give up like that!? I thought you loved her!" Hanji yelled at the black-haired man as he slammed the door of his house, beginning his walk to his car.
"I do. But you know her dad already hates me." Levi countered, unlocking his car, opening the door, and getting in.
"Who cares!? If you really loved her," Hanji opened the passenger door and entered the car herself, "you wouldn't listen to him."
"He said I wouldn't get his blessing till the day I died. Hate to break it to you, but she can't marry a dead guy." Levi stuck his key in the ignition and started the car, shifting the gear in reverse and pulling the car out of the driveway, driving off down the street.
"Since when do you listen to what anyone tells you to do!? You just need to marry her and tell her dad to fuck off." Hanji crossed her arms.
"Yeah, because then he'll totally give me his blessing." Levi looked both ways at the corner before pulling out onto the main road.
"You don't need his blessing! It's true love! Like Romeo and Juliet!" Hanji clashed her hands together.
"You do know that they died, right? She faked her death, and then-"
"I know!" Hanji cut him off. "God, with this negative attitude, you'll never get on his good side." She sighed. "Levi, this is serious. Answer me honestly. Do you love her?"
"Well of course I do!"
"You know that you love her. So, why does his opinion matter? You love her, she loves you. This isn't his decision. This is 2014, Levi. Just marry her."
"She's already supposed to marry someone else..."
"Tough luck for him then. He's not getting in the way of this. Levi, pull into that parking lot, now."
"W-"
"Now!"
"Fine." Levi looked for cars for a second, then turned into the parking lot, parking on one of the parking spots. He turned the car off, then crossed his arms.
"Levi, look at me." Hanji demanded, staring at Levi with a straight, serious face.
Levi kept his eyes on the dashboard, lightly tapping his foot impatiently. "No."
"Dammit Levi! Just look at me! This isn't some little kid situation where you can be a stubborn ass and ignore me! We are grown up, so you gotta face your problems like a man! Now, look at me."
Levi huffed in annoyance, but still reluctantly turned his head towards her. "What?"
"Rivaille Ackerman," Levi rolled his eyes at her use of his full name, "tell me, right here, right now. Is Petra Ral the girl you want to be with the rest of your life?"
"Well, no shit."
"Answer yes or no!"
"Yes."
"Good. Now, is Petra Ral the girl you want to marry?"
"Yes."
"Do you think she loves that man she's supposed to marry?"
"No..."
"Speak louder, soldier!" Hanji scolded.
"No!"
"Do you want her to marry someone she doesn't love!?"
"No!"
"Are you gonna let her father, or anyone for that matter, come in between her and her happiness!?"
"No!"
"Then get your happy ass over there and change his mind!"
Levi did not answer, he just turned his car back on, and reversed out of the parking spot, and then drove out into the street, completely ignoring the speed limit. His destination?
Petra's house.
Upon arrival, he turned off the car, and opened the door, but before getting out, he turned to Hanji. "Stay here. Don't even think about leaving this car." He demanded, then got out, slamming the door behind him.
Levi walked up the porch steps and knocked on the door three times. He waited for a couple seconds, then heard the door click unlocked, and it was pulled open, revealing Petra's father.
"Why are you here?" He spoke, raising a brow.
"I know you already said no, but you have to understand sir, I love your daughter to death, and I would do anything for her, anything to make her happy. Just let me marry her," He begged, "please."
"My answer is still no! If you want to make her happy, you'll leave her alone!"
"Dad?" The two heard a soft voice from inside the house. "Who's at the door?" The voice got a bit louder as the person started walking towards the door.
"No one you should be concerned with."
"But I want to know," the door opened fully when another person pulled on it, "who it is." The girl who revealed herself looked at Levi, then smiled. "Hey, Levi! How are you?"
"I would be better, but-"
"Petra, dear, please go back in the house." Her father asked sternly.
"I'm just talking to him." Petra retorted.
"In the house. Now!" He raised his voice.
"Hey! Don't fucking yell at her!" Levi glared at him.
"This is none of your concern! Get off my property before I call the police!" Petra's father then slammed the door shut before Levi could get another word out.
Levi, quite frustrated, kicked the door with great force, making a loud bang. He then stomped away towards his car, opening the drivers door, getting in and slamming the door behind him. He sat in silence for a moment, but the minute Hanji opened her mouth to speak he started punching and kicking everything.
"Uh, Levi?" Hanji placed her hand on his shoulder, trying to stop the raging man.
"What?!" Levi growled, glaring holes through her eyes.
"I have an idea. I'll tell you the details when we get home. Me and Isabel have been planning this forever!"
~The Next Day~
"I can't do this. It's stupid." Levi tried to get out of it last minute as Hanji buttoned up his tuxedo, and began working on his tie.
"It'll be fine, just don't forget any of the words. We practiced this all night, and I don't want it to go to waste." Hanji continued to struggle with his tie.
"How about we just ditch this plan?" Levi suggested, pushing Hanji away, and attempting to tie his tie himself.
"No! Just do it! This is the perfect way to do anything! And we already have Erd and Gunther coming to play the guitar!"
"Are you fucking-"
"Maybe you should cut down on the swearing so her dad doesn't hate you even more." Hanji suggested.
Levi sighed, and continued to fumble with his tie before finally getting too frustrated and yanking it off. "Fuck th-"
"Levi! Language!"
"We still have time to quit this, and just go with my plan."
"Levi, we are not going to go in there with a bunch of ski masks, kill her dad, and kidnap her... Where would we get the ski masks?"
"I don't think that's the problem with that plan." Isabel said as she walked into the door. "Come on, big bro, we don't got all day."
"Are we seriously going to do this?" Levi groaned.
"Yes! Come on! Isabel you be Isabel, I'll be Hanji, Levi, you be Levi!"
"Wow. That's so hard. I don't know if I can manage that. Can I switch jobs with Isabel?" Levi remarked sarcastically.
"Don't be an ass, Levi! Let's go!" Hanji grabbed both their arms and dragged them out of the bedroom, down the stairs, and out the door, everyone grabbing there shoes before they got out of the house.
"I call driving!" Isabel called.
"You're only 15, you have to have a responsible adult in the car." Levi countered.
"But Hanji-san is an adult!"
"Like I said, you have to have a responsible adult."
"Hey! I am responsible!" Hanji yelled at Levi.
"Just let me drive." Levi solved.
"No! I'm driving! Get in Isabel, we're going to Petra's! You too Levi." Hanji swung the drivers door open, and got in, jamming the key into the ignition, and starting the car.
"Shotgun!" Isabel called cheerfully, getting in on the passengers side.
"I am not sitting in the back seat." Levi crossed his arms and stood his ground at the top of the driveway.
"Levi, if you do not get in this car right now, I am going to run you over!"
"You wouldn't." Levi stayed in his position.
"Try me!" Hanji put her hands on the steering wheel, and slammed on the accelerator for a breif second, only to scare Levi.
Levi did indeed jump, then put his hands in front of him. "Fine! I'll go! God... Physcotic bitch..."
