Blaine stormed into the living room with a scowl fixed on his face, "Kurt, I need to have a word with you."
"What about?"
"You know."
"I don't think so." Kurt purses his lips and shook his head.
"Where'd you put my gel?"
"What gel? You wear gel?" Kurt frowned, turning to Rachel who was sat on the sofa next to him, "Did you know Blaine wears gel? I would never have guessed."
Blaine screwed his face up and threw his hands in the air, "Just- God! Kurt, stop being such an asshole! I have a date tonight and I need my-"
"Woah, woah, woah." Kurt stood up, "You have a date?"
"Yes."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Uh, because it's none of your business?"
Kurt gasped and placed a hand over his chest, "You wound me, Anderson."
Blaine rolled his eyes.
"Look, Blaine. If you really want to impress this date of yours, you don't need gel. Just be yourself." Blaine's scowl softened at the words, a small smile forming on his face, "Besides, if you be yourself on the first date then he'll hate you already so you won't have to lose him when he finally sees the real you."
Blaine's smile dropped and he groaned, "Fine. You know what?"
He then stormed out of the living room and into Kurt's room before walking back through the door with Kurt's phone in hand.
"What are you doing with that?"
"Give me my gel and you can have your phone."
"What? No! I don't have your gel, give me my phone." Kurt reached out to try and grab the phone.
"Yes you do."
"No I don't."
"Well, its not on my desk and Rachel wouldn't take it."
"Maybe it's just-" Kurt jumped forward, grabbing the phone and attempting to wrestle it out of Blaine's hands.
Rachel watched as the phone slipped from Blaine's hands and flew over Kurt's head, landing with a thud next to her. She glanced up to see both boys staring at the phone and before she could even begin to comprehend what was happening, she was squashed into the corner of the couch with Blaine's curls sticking into her eyes and Kurt's foot tangling under her arms.
"Oh my god! Enough!" She shrieked, leaping up and grabbing the phone from beneath the wrestling boys.
She stormed into Blaine's room and grabbed his phone off of his bed before returning to the two boys who had separated to opposite sides of the couch.
"Right! I am taking away all technology and both of your keys and you're both going to stay in tonight whilst I go out with Blaine's date. Maybe I'll get a real gay bestie. A good one."
Blaine's mouth fell open, "No way! No, no, no, no! There's no way you're stealing my date!"
"Yeah, come on Rachel! That's a bit harsh! This could be the one night when he gets to be free from his depressingly lonely life and he doesn't want to kill himself! You can't take this away from him!"
"Tough!" She yelled.
Kurt and Blaine watched in horror as Rachel charged around the loft, shovelling iPads, laptops and radios into a bag.
"Learn to get along or you won't be getting any of these back!" She yelled before grabbing the TV remote, 3 sets of keys and slamming the door behind her.
The pair sat still for a while before Kurt slapped his hands on his knees, "Well, you're an almost bearable actor, right? So we'll just pretend to get along and I'll go on with my incredibly happy life while you-"
"What is your problem with me?" Blaine whispered, "What did I do to make you hate me so much?"
Kurt opened and closed his mouth a few times, struggling to form any coherent words before muttering, "You hate me too."
"No. Y'know what? I don't. I actually quite like you. I admire your talents and how confident you are despite everything you've been through."
Kurt's eyes fell to the floor and he let out a deep breath.
"I-I've been nothing but wonderful to you. I set you up with Elliot I- hey, how is it going with Elliot?"
Kurt frowned slightly at Blaine's change of topic before replying, "I don't know. I haven't answered him in a while."
"What?"
"Well, I- I dunno. I just- he keeps texting me and calling me but I'm just- I don't- I can't right now."
"You can't what?"
"I can't- can't be with any random guy."
Blaine narrowed his eyes, "Why not? You hook up a lot, right?"
Kurt rolled his eyes, "I just said that to make you think I wasn't extremely lonely."
"But you are lonely?"
Kurt sighed, shutting his eyes, "Yes. But I- there's this one guy that I just can't get off my mind but he doesn't feel the same."
"How can you be sure?"
"Because he- any time I try to be nice to him or- or... I dunno... flirt with him he just... ignores me or gives me these weird looks as if I'm completely insane."
"You are pretty insane." Blaine smiled when Kurt laughed, "But you don't know until you try."
"I can't try. It'd be too complicated and it'd just ruin everything."
"But is he worth it?"
Kurt looked up and met Blaine's eyes, searching them and watching the way they seemed to move with every emotion flickering through them, "So worth it."
"Shouldn't you give it a try then? Open up to him, just- just go for it. Besides, in the end the worst thing he can say is 'no', right?"
"Yeah, no would be pretty devastating." Kurt laughed humourlessly.
"We'll make a deal then." Kurt raised an eyebrow, "If you talk to this guy, I'll give you back your moisturising cream."
"My- you- that's where that went? You took it?"
Blaine's eyes widened, "I- that's not the point! You ask this guy out or at least tell him how you feel and your things will be returned."
"Fine." Kurt groaned, "Can I have my moisturising cream back now, though? I haven't done my moisturising routine in 2 days and my skin needs desperate attention."
"No. You only get it back when you make a move on this guy. And trust me, Kurt, if he doesn't feel the same then there's something very wrong with him because any guy'd be lucky to have you. I've never told you because I always thought you hated me but- but you're amazing, seriously you-"
"I never said I didn't hate you."
Blaine rolled his eyes, "Ok, well it doesn't seem like you hate me so much anymore."
"I don't." Kurt groaned, "It's extremely annoying."
"Oh, poor you. Having to struggle through life without hating me. How hard it must be."
Kurt pouted, "Its challenging."
Blaine smiled, shaking his head slightly and shifting around in his seat so his feet were underneath him as he allowed his eyes to drift across the various photos stuck on the walls.
"Blaine, I-" Kurt broke himself off as Blaine turned to look at him, a faint smile still on his lips.
Kurt closed his eyes and did the one thing he'd thought he'd never have the chance to do: lean forward and kiss Blaine.
Blaine froze beneath Kurt's lips which had also frozen. They both sat still, frozen with their lips pressed together.
Kurt's wrist started to ache where he was leaning on it close to Blaine's leg. Blaine's foot shifted slightly, nudging Kurt's wrist which seemed to break Kurt out of his dazed state, the chestnut-haired man pulling back with a sharp intake of breath.
Blaine's hazel eyes blinked open just in time to watch Kurt jump over the back of the couch and run into his room. He closed his eyes again and glanced around the room, still trying to understand what had just happened.
He stood slowly, edging carefully towards Kurt's door and bracing himself before pushing the door open slightly. He stepped into the room and stood awkwardly next to Kurt's door, watching the man who was cradling his head as he perched on the end of his bed.
"Kurt-"
"Blaine, please just leave. Okay? I don't know what I was thinking I was just-"
"Kurt, was I the guy you were telling me about?"
Kurt looked up and sighed, nodding, "Unfortunately so."
Blaine rolled his eyes, "Why did you run away?"
"Because I- you froze. You didn't do anything."
"Yeah, neither did you."
"I know. Because I'd just realised that I was kissing Blaine Anderson. Of all people."
"Just shut up. You care about me right?"
"Yeah."
"And I care about you." Kurt frowned up at Blaine, "Don't look at me like that, you know I like you despite the fact that I always thought you hated me."
"So, you're saying-"
"I'm saying; shut up and come here so I can properly kiss you because if I'm being honest, I've kinda wanted to do this forever."
But Kurt remained still, staring at his hands in his lap so Blaine sighed and moved to kneel in front of Kurt. He then reached up, cupped Kurt's cheeks and pulled his face down to connect their lips in a real kiss.
Kurt began moving his lips against Blaine's and hummed quietly when Blaine stood up, Kurt following. Blaine pushed Kurt back slightly and the countertenor fell backwards onto his bed and Blaine crawled up on top of him, straddling his hips before leaning down and kissing him again, this time opening his mouth and teasing Kurt's lips with his tongue.
Kurt moaned quietly and opened his mouth, allowing their tongues to meet and explore each other's mouths.
"Oh my god!" Blaine leapt off of Kurt and rolled to the side, screaming when he fell off of the bed, grabbing onto the duvet covers in an attempt to save himself only to have the covers fall on top of him and muffle his groan as he fell and hit his head on the floor.
Rachel stood in the doorway with her hands on her hips, "I see you boys get extremely bored without technology."
"What're you doing here, Rachel?" Kurt scowled.
"I came back to fetch my coat. It's rather chilly outside." She raised an eyebrow, "It's pretty hot in here though, if you know what I mean."
Kurt glared at her before dropping to his knees to peel the covers off Blaine and help the man to stand up, "You okay?"
"Mhmm." He hummed, blushing wildly as Rachel grinned at him.
"You boys have fun now!"
