"And you're sure you're gonna be okay?"

"Yes, Blaine. For the last time. I'll be okay."

Blaine sighed and shrugged his shoulders, "You can't be alone on Christmas."

"I've been alone plenty times. It's not too bad. I'll just- I dunno, I'll think of something to do." Kurt turned Blaine around and began pushing him out the door, "But you need to go or you're gonna miss your flight. Enjoy Italy, Blaine."

"Kurt I-" Blaine's sentence was ended by the door being slammed shut.

A smile spread across his face as he stepped backwards before spinning on his heel and skipping towards his car.

Kurt was going to have the best Christmas. Ever.

-_-_-

Kurt hummed quietly along to the radio as he danced around his dorm room, unpacking and repacking his closet.

"Let it snow, let it snow, let is sno-"

His singing was interrupted by a knock at the door.

Frowning, Kurt lowered the volume on his radio and moved to open the door.

He looked around the empty corridor when he opened the door, glancing left and right before deciding that someone was playing knock-a-door-run on him and moving backwards to close the door.

Just as he was about to slam the door, he noticed a little parcel sat on the floor in front of his door.

He leaned down to pick it up and, after reading his name on the front of it, closed his door and settled onto his bed to rip the paper open.

Once the paper had fallen off the side of the bed Kurt smiled, picking up the small white bear holding a Christmas list in it's paws.

He spent the next couple of minutes staring at the bear, observing the list to Santa which the bear held and the small reindeer antlers sewn to it's head.

He chuckled quietly, moving to pick up the wrapping paper from off the floor when another smaller piece of paper fell out of it.

Kurt picked up the Christmas tree shaped paper, along with the red wrapping paper and settled back onto his knees.

The handwriting was quite scruffy and Kurt could tell straight away that it was from a certain lead soloist he'd grown so fond of. If it wasn't for the telltale way all of the vowels were separate whilst the other letters joined together, Kurt probably wouldn't have known it was Blaine.

Skimming his thumb over a smudge of ink on the bottom left corner, he read the note.

Dear Kurt,
Christmas time has almost begun
It's time now to have some fun
So, go to the place
That reflects your face
And there you'll find clue number one

He read through the note at least five times and turned it sideways, flipped it over and even turned it upside down. He must have looked like an idiot but he was confused.

What could it mean? It sounded like a riddle.

He paused before falling backwards onto the bed.

Trust Blaine to go out of his way just to make Kurt fall even more in love with him.

So, with a sigh, he read through the scruffy handwriting again and again. And again.

And after reading it once again, he'd finally figured it out.

It 'reflects your face' so his first thought was his phone before he had glanced up and noticed a small note stuck to his mirror.

So he'd walked up to his mirror, fixed his hair quickly before retrieving the note and attempting to decipher the scruffy handwriting.

Remember our song and first dance
If you search, you might find by chance
A sweet serenade
Where music is played
To prepare for a night of romance

A frown crossed his features when he'd first read the word 'romance' but quickly cast that aside as the only word Blaine could think to rhyme with dance and chance.

He hadn't had to give it a second's thought as to what their song and their first dance was: Baby It's Cold Outside, which they'd sang in the study hall.

So that's where he went. Then he read through the note again and read 'Where music is played.' which was obviously Blaine's boom box.

Which was sat on the table to the left of Kurt.

Kurt made a reminder to himself to scold Blaine for just leaving his things hanging around before he leaned forward and found a small snowman shaped piece of paper hooked in the handle.

You may have found the beat
But your search is still incomplete
Go claim a prize
Where temperatures rise
And this'll be closer to being complete

Ps. Hit play

He smiled and rested his finger against the play button before pressing down and laughing when he heard the first few beats of Teenage Dream.

-_-_-

He had spent the last 10 minutes dancing around the room after playing and replaying Blaine's cover of Teenage Dream but he now stood in front of the Dalton kitchen.

He sighed, reading the note once more before pushing open the door and walking straight to the oven and pulling it open, finding a small batch of cookies and a pink square note on top.

Whilst taking a bite of one of the cookies and humming in pleasure at the taste, he read the words.

Tonight, the whole world is ours, it's true
A dreamland created for just me and you
There will be something sweet
Where you find food to eat
As we savor time long overdue

He frowned again at the note. The world is ours? That didn't sound like something friends would say to one another-

No. Kurt was probably just looking too far into things. Blaine didn't feel the same.

He shook his head and read through it again, pulling open the fridge as he did so, intending to grab a smoothie but instead finding a bowl of strawberries and another note.

He chuckled and took a bite of one of the strawberries before bending down to pick up the purple paper that had fallen on the floor.

Cancel plans and set time apart
You've come this far, I knew you were smart
In your glove box is where it is placed
You don't know how long I have chased
For a chance to open up my heart

He took another strawberry as he read over the words before grinning and turning around to take off running down the corridor.

Once he'd reached the entrance to Dalton's car park he took a deep breath and pushed open the doors.

Kurt glanced round the car park, immediately walking towards his car and noticing a figure stood next to it.

When he'd gotten closer the boy began to walk towards him.

"Blaine."

"Hi, Kurt," Blaine grinned, "You figured it out."

"I don't-" Kurt looked back down at the pile of paper in his hand, "I don't understand why you did this."

"I guess I- I didn't want you to be alone on Christmas."

"Aren't you meant to be in Italy?"

Blaine laughed, "Yeah- well, no. That was a lie. My parents are in Italy. They don't like taking me on holidays. Don't want me to embarrass them."

"Blaine I-"

"No! This is about you! It doesn't matter. I don't matter. I'm used to it, don't worry."

"You do matter, you-"

"Wait, Kurt. There's a reason I did all of this." Blaine grabbed Kurt's hands to stop him from moving, not noticing the way Kurt froze and looked down to their hands, "I- I'm just going to come out and say it, okay? I like you. I like you like you. I like you a lot."

Kurt raised an eyebrow.

"Ok, I'm bad at this." Blaine groaned, "I- Kurt, when I first saw you on those stairs I knew I needed to help you. I saw something in your eyes. Something I'd experienced first hand. You were lost. You felt alone and- and I wanted to help you. I- I believe I did." Kurt nodded, "Yeah, so, umm, I did that. And then- then we became such, such good friends and you were- you are my best friend! But lately... lately I've been- been not wanting to be your friend so much but more wanting to be your- something more than friends. Whatever. I don't know."

Blaine closed his eyes and shook his head, peeling his hands away from Kurt's and wrapping them around himself, "I- this was stupid. I'm stupid. I just- just never mind. It doesn't matter."

"Blaine." Kurt ducked his head down to look into Blaine's eyes, "Can I speak now?" At Blaine's nod he continued, "Blaine, you're my best friend and you will never, ever know how much you've helped me. You- you took what was broken and fixed it. And for that I am... eternally grateful. But Blaine, you had no idea how infuriating you can be."

Blaine's eyes widened, "You- you're so, so oblivious. And- and you constantly flirt with me but still seem to want to remain friends. You constantly give me all of these signals that you may want more but then- then you do something that completely friend-zones me." Blaine sighed and looked back down at his feet, "But if you think for one second that I don't like you back, then- well, you're a lost cause completely, aren't you?"

Blaine looked up and frowned, Kurt grinning and taking Blaine's hands back in his, "Blaine, I don't know if now's the right time to tell you this but- but I'm madly in love with you."

Blaine's face remained still for a couple of seconds, his eyes searching Kurt's face before his mouth almost split his face in half as he grinned widely, "Really?"

"Ye-"

Blaine laughed and leaned forwards, trapping their linked hands in between their bodies as he connected their lips, resting them there for barely a second before he was pulling away with a gasp.

"Oh my god! Kurt, I'm so sorry! I'm- I should've let you make the first move, let you kiss me first I- I'm just as bad as Karofsky aren't I-"

Kurt silenced Blaine in the only logical way, with his lips.

He pulled away quickly to whisper, "Shut up." Before he was leaning back in to connect their lips in real, proper, long kiss.

Ok, I'm extremely tired and I just remembered that it's the 29th and I'm only on the 21st.. AH!

And I'm so so sorry Christie_19_books but I completely forgot to add in the dinner and gifts and mistletoe kiss.. this was such a challenge for me. You were next on my request list so I couldn't post anything else until I'd written yours but I just couldn't think of anything to write for the clues.

So some of the ideas aren't mine. Google is very helpful 😉

Anyway, despite the various parts missing and the terrible clues, I hope you enjoyed it Christie_19_books
