However, the events from 27 Bowls of Ice cream majorly influence this story as they take place earlier in the timeline. It isn't necessary to have read it first but you'll enjoy this story much more if you have because it gives these characters & plot more depth in my opinion.

When Cindy wished for a perfect Prince Charming to enter her life, she didn't factor in the possibility that she might not be the love he seeks. Once her fairytale daydream ends up turning into a platonic nightmare, she is stuck living through 24 romance tropes — each a chance to unlove him and break the spell.

But a cruel string of fate ties them together and the farther they go, the closer they end up. Prince might not be in love with Cindy yet but when it took Prince Charming less than 24 hours to fall in love with Cinderella, how difficult could creating this love story be?

The clock keeps ticking and each of the 24 chances alter their destiny forever. Love and heartbreak are deeply etched into the pages of their story but whose heart will be the one that breaks is up to them to choose.

Nobody knows for sure why or how we fall in love. It is like this strong gush of wind that hits you when you least expect it. For some, love is about butterflies and tingles. For some, love is silence and comfort. For others, love is everything in between. Which is why we keep searching for love in fiction and fairytales. You think love is everywhere — in books, TV shows, songs and maybe all around you. But who can ever talk about love without indirectly describing a heartbreak?

Publishing this story today was never a part of the plan. But in the grand scheme of things, when fate was adamant on it by creating this once in a lifetime synchronicity, who am I to overlook it?

27/09/2022 : 27th of the month i.e. a tribute to 27 Bowls of Ice cream which paved way for the creation of this story. And adding up all numbers, 2+7+0+9+2+0+2+2 = 24 which is so apt for 24 Chances to Unlove You. Plus the fact that this book is a Libra which perfectly aligns with this story's love & dreamy vibe.
