The next day, Hera wakes up on the bed next to Alexandria. She looks around wondering how she got to the bed. Wasn't she on the couch last night? Did Lexis bring her to the bed?

She seats up recalling her conversation with him the previous night.

She places her finger between her teeth. Was she in love with him? So much had happened between them in the space of weeks she felt truly worn out.

She glances around and notices three bags by the bed side, she gets down from the bed and walks over to it. Noticing a note on one of the bags, she picks it up and reads it.

"Seeing as you didn't bring any change of clothes I got you two something and toiletries,"

She opens the bag and glances through the items. Smiling, she wakes Shakespeare up.

"Come on sweetie, E will soon be here for us," She says.

"Shower together?"Shakespeare says once her head and eyes clear up.

Hera nods and lifts her up carrying her to the bathroom where she aids Alexandria undress and then undresses, getting into the shower. Water mixed with soap and a few scrubs later, both mother and daughter where laughing and singing the lonely goatherd.

High on a hill was a lonely goatherd - Hera

Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo - Shakespeare

Loud was the voice of the lonely goatherd - Hera

Lay ee odl lay ee odl-oo -Shakespeare

Folks in a town that was quite remote heard -Hera

Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo - Shakespeare

Lusty and clear from the goatherd's throat heard -Hera

Lay ee odl lay ee odl-oo -Shakespeare

O ho lay dee odl lee o, o ho lay dee odl ay

O ho lay dee odl lee o, lay dee odl lee o lay" They sing hands held together in joy.

"You should stick to singing in the shower," A voice calls out.

Hera turns around and notices Lexis leaning against the wall by the door.

"Lexis!" Hera says quickly using her hands to cover her breasts and Vagina.

"That's useless considering I've seen everything," Lexis says.

"That doesn't mean you can see it a second time!" Hera responds.

"Hera I believe I've seen it at least four times," Lexis says earning a glare from Hera.

"Daddy have you showered?" Alexandria asks.

"No I haven't,"

"Yay! Come join us!" She says in glee as Hera turns and glares at her.

"NO!" Hera says quickly rejecting it.

"Should I?" Lexis says ignoring Hera.

"Lexis!" Hera reprimands.

"Don't worry I'm just here to brush my teeth," Lexis says walking to the sink grinning.

"Can't you wash it later?" Hera says frustrated.

"Now where's the fun in that?" Lexis says his back to Hera whose eyes were shooting daggers.

He purposefully slowly brushes his teeth.

"Mummy won't you shower?" Alexandria says wondering why she wasn't.

"When daddy leaves,"

"But why?"

"Cos he's a man and men shouldn't see girls naked,"

"But he's daddy and daddy alweady cawwied you nakey!"

Lexis laughs out loud.

"See even the girl is smarter than you," Lexis says earning another glare from Hera.

Chuckling, he slowly walks over causing Hera's eyes to widen.

"What are you doing?"She says taking a step back.

Surely he wasn't...surely he wasn't...she keeps thinking as he approaches the shower.

He walks over and lightly playfully flicks Alexandria's nose as Hera freezes, she draws in her lips with her teeth but quickly releases it scared of the repercussions.

He turns to Hera whose breathing sops for a second.

"I meant what I said yesterday,"He says. His voice serious.

Hera's mind flows to the words she was sure he was referring to.

"I'm sorry," He'd said

"So am I,"She'd replied.

"So did I," She says releasing the breath she was holding.

He grins causing Hera's forehead to furrow.

His eyes glide from her head to her toes causing her to gasp at the blatantness of it all.

His eyes glide back up to her head stopping at her eyes.

"Not bad," He says turning to leave as Hera uses her hands to scoop some water and throws it towards him as he walks out chuckling.

Shakespeare bursts into little giggles.

"You...you you, that mouth of yours." Hera says pointing to Alexandria's lips who simply shrugs and giggles more.

A few minutes later all dressed up, Hera and Alexandria walk into the office.

"Daddy!" Alexandria screams running up to Lexis who gets up and whisks her up in his arms.

"Daughter,"He says smiling.

"My name is Shakespeare daddy not daughter," Alexandria says giggling.

"Didn't your mum inform you?" Lexis says.

"We'll now be calling you by your second name, Alexandria," He says.

"Alexandwia? Why?" Alexandria says confused.

"Because there can only be one Shakespeare in my life," He says looking at Hera, she bites her lips and quickly releases it. Her eyes turning to look anywhere but at him.

"Who's that?" Alexandria asks.

"Your mother," Lexis says eyes still on Hera who was evading looking at him.

"Mummy your name is also Shakespeare?" Alexandria says surprised.

Hera's phone rings, thankful she quickly takes it out and answers t.

"Okay, we'll be down soon,"Hera says.

"Did you make up with Jess?" Lexis asks.

"How did you know we fought? Did she call you?" Hera says getting defensive.

"No, but after the courthouse yesterday, it was pretty obvious to everyone,"

Hera breathes out in relief. That means he doesn't know about what Jess told her in regards to his intentions on taking the case to court.

"No, I haven't," She says.

"You should Jess cares a lot about you," He says.

Hera stays quiet.

Sighing he changes the topic.

"So where are you going to stay?" He asks.

"With E," Hera says.

"My offer on having you return to my house is still open should you decide to take it. The key was never changed," He says.

Understanding the double meaning Hera simply gives a half smile.

"Think about it," He says as Maeve walks in.

"Shakes... Alexandria," Hera says not yet used to calling her by her second name.

"Let's go, E is waiting," Hera says stretching her hands out.

Lexis let's her down, she walks to Hera and they link fingers, walking out as Shakespeare waves to her dad.

Chanting "See you later,"

                                                                        ***

Hours later, Lexis arrives at the HSI office where he was to go through some questioning and then meet with David through the string pulled by Maeve and her contacts in the FBI. Upon arrival, he is lead to an office where he is questioned with Maeve by his side as his lawyer, after which they take him to a room to speak with David, Reid and Karen's father.

"Lexis!" David says getting up.

"I'm so glad you're here, how soon can I get out?" David asks.

"Get out?" Lexis asks eyebrow furrowed at the ridiculousness of the question.

"You colluded with my dad and your daughter to drug me and you expect me to waltz you out of here like nothing happened?" Lexis asks voice getting colder with each word.

"Karen?" David says.

"No, no Karen is innocent in all this, she didn't know, you can't blame her," David says reaching out to grab Lexis' hands but Lexis quickly withdraws his hands.

"Of course you'll declare her innocent ,she's your child!" Lexis exclaims.

"Alexander I swear by your mothers life, Karen didn't know. It was all me, Karen and Reid, they didn't know," David says.

"I guess you still don't know. Reid actually got me the antidote,"Lexis says to which David gasps. Shocked he falls to his seat as he starts putting two and two together.

"So David are you now willing to confess your daughters involvement in this scheme?" Lexis asks.

"She really wasn't..." David says.

"Not in the way you think," He says.

Lexis squints his eyes disbelievingly.

David wipes his face with his hands.

"That night I came back home and met her a mess, for days, months after you died my daughter became someone unrecognizable. Without a goal, without life, drinking from dusk till dawn," David says.

"When I returned home and met her crying on the balcony. I didn't realize just how badly she loved you till then.... So I did it for her and Lea whom's only wish was to have you call her mum. I did it because I knew your mum would never have wanted you to suffer so much again or remember your past sufferings," David says.

Lexis balls his hands into fists.

"Karen didn't know about the drugs Lexis, at least not to the best of my knowledge," David says.

"You had no right, no right deciding how my life should be based on the feelings of others or yourself. No right to decide whom I should call mum and you sure as heck had no right taking away my memories be they good or bad, none whatsoever. That... was not your call to make!" Lexis states with a icy cold tone.

"Your treating me like one of your experiments, getting the idea, making hypothesis, performing the experiment by feeding me the drugs and observing the result while drawing the conclusion of how I am to live my life with your daughter at the end of it all...that is unforgivable and something you need to pay for," Lexis says standing up.

"Hold up," David says.

Lexis halts.

"Karen... all she ever did was love you," David says with pleading eyes.

"A love that cost me five years of my life turning it into nothing, a love that cost me my hope and belief in humanity. Your daughters love is a curse, a curse I no longer wish to bear," Lexis says stepping out of the room.

As he walks out he runs into Reid and Karen stepping out of a different room.

"Lexis!" Karen says hurrying over to his side shocked he'd come.

"You're here to help dad aren't you?" She says joy, hopefulness and relief written all over her face.

"They won't let us see him," Karen says and turns to Maeve who was by Lexis' side.

"Maeve you're a lawyer and a former agent, can you please represent my dad?" Karen says.

"Are you pretending to be ignorant or are you simply stupid?" Lexis asks.

"Lexis," Karen says shocked and in pain at the harsh words.

"Your dad brought in illegal drugs to the country, drugs that he fed me with to enforce amnesia," He says.

"Drugs that can lead to Asphyxiation and you expect my assistant to help bail him out? Have you lost your marbles?" Lexis asks.

"There must be some misunderstanding, dad....dad would never do that," Karen says half not believing her own words.

"Is that so?"Lexis says looking straight at Reid who lets out a sigh.

"I told you Karen, it's true," Reid says.

"No, it's not!" Karen adamantly replies.

"Why on earth would dad drug Lexis? He loves him like his own son," Karen counters refusing to accept it.

"Because he loves you more," Reid replies shocking her.

Karen glances at him with glistened eyes. Her dad had done it for her.

Lexis glances at Karen, his eyes darkening.

"Wait Lexis!" Karen says hurrying over to hold onto him but Maeve steps in her way blocking her.

Lexis keeps walking.

"Alexander Black you stop right there!" Karen screams.

A couple of agents walk out to ask whats going on and ask them to keep it down.

"Lexis, you owe me," Karen says as tears fall down her cheeks.

"Owe?" Lexis says doubting his ears.

"For what?" Lexis asks sincerely curious as to what she could cook up.

"The days and years I spent by your side, for helping you get well again, for your standing here today, without me, you would still be laying in a bed in England or ten feet under the ground," Karen says steeling.

Lexis' chest vibrates with laughter that comes out in short successions.

"Karen, I lost my son, I lost five years of my daughters life, I lost five years of my life, I lost the family I thought I had, I lost myself, I believe the only one owing someone here is you," Lexis says voice dripping with an acidic tone as he glares at her turns around and walks out of the room with Maeve by his side.

Once they turn around and step into he elevator, Lexis leans against the wall and shuts his eyes. Maeve turns back to glance at him.

"Do you still want to stop by Peters?" She asks. She was able to also get him a private meeting with his dad who was currently in detention undergoing investigations.

"I made a deal with Satan didn't I?"He says in reference to his agreement with Nathan early that morning while Hera and Shakespeare were asleep. Maeve nods and leads him over to the car after which they drive to where his dad was. Stepping out of the car they walk into the office approaching the room he was to meet his dad.

"Maeve," An agent says as they approach the door.

"Jeff," Maeve replies in greeting reaching out to shake his hands.

"Josh said you needed a few minutes," The agent named Jeff says.

"How many can you afford?" Maeve asks.

"Fifteen, Shelby returns in twenty-five," Jeff says.

Maeve glances at Lexis who nods.

"That should be enough," Maeve says.

The guy nods leading them in.

"Have you heard about the former AG?" Maeve asks in relation to Lea, Nathans mother and Lexis' Step-mother.

"She's finishing a questioning down the room," The guy says opening a door revealing Peter Black for Lexis.

"Fifteen minutes," He says to Lexis who nods and steps in as they shut the door behind him. With Maeve and Jeff standing guard outside.
