"Here, I'll help you out," Lexis putting forth his hand.

"The child?" Lexis asks the nurse not turning to look at her.

"She's in the living room," The nurse answers.

Lexis helps Hera out of the bath tub.

The nurse inspects her burns and helps dry her up being careful to dab the burn spots.

"You're lucky, it's not deep," The nurse says looking at her skin. She then helps Hera into a sleeveless silk gown flowing to her knees.

"She'll need to have it regularly moistened with water or hydrogen peroxide and have the gauze changed," The nurse says turning to face Lexis as he steps out.

"You can take care of that," Lexis says.

"I thought you wanted me to leave?" The nurse asks.

"That was before she became incapable of taking over," Lexis says.

"But my shift ended an hour ago," The nurse says.

Hera remembers Lexis statement on not liking medical personnel.

"It's okay, I can change it myself, go get some rest," Hera says as they step out of the bathroom.

"No you can't," Lexis says.

"Plus I need a nurse to check my vitals all day today," Lexis says.

"Check your vitals?" Hera asks wondering if something was wrong with him.

"He needs his temperature taken and his blood pressure checked every six hours," The nurse says.

"What of work?" Hera asks.

"He can't go to work today or tomorrow he wanted you to help out prior to your burn," The nurse answers.

"Help out? With what?" Hera asks.

"My duty, I was to teach you before I leave but now you have a burn," The nurse says.

"That'll stop hurting in a few hours right?" Hera asks.

"It probably won't stop till late in the night or tomorrow," The nurse says.

"Then how am I supposed to go to work?" Hera asks.

"You can't either," The nurse says.

"I can't do that, I'll be fired," Hera says.

Lexis leans against the wall.

"I'll get another nurse, you can leave," He says to the nurse.

"No, wait," Hera says.

The nurse glances at Hera wondering if she read her wrong and she was actually worse than the guy. Would she really be so heartless as to make her stay?

"I burnt my hand I didn't break it, I can help with the vitals checking," Hera says, the nurse let's out an internal sigh of relief.

"Can she do that?" Lexis asks the nurse skeptically.

"Yes," The nurse says wanting to leave and not wanting any of her poor co workers to have to deal with Lexis.

"Okay," Lexis says.

"Hold on, I have a condition," Hera says.

Lexis raises an eyebrow.

"You need to make sure I don't get fired from my job," Hera says.

"And why would I do that?" Lexis asks folding his arms across each other as he leans against the wall.

"Because I'm helping you out," Hera says.

"And I returned the favor when you got the water burn, or have you forgotten how I helped you?" He asks gesturing to her burn.

"Seriously?" Hera says.

Lexis shrugs.

"Plus I can hire an actual....nurse," Lexis says placing emphasis on the last word.

"You'll be punishing yourself by doing that considering how you feel towards them," Hera says causing the nurse to glance at him.

He stays silent, Hera takes that to mean he didn't agree so she takes a different approach.

"Because we're friends?" Hera says.

Lexis tilts his head.

"That's what friends do, bail each other out," Hera says.

Lexis frowns as a memory flashes in his mind.

"I thought that's what friends do? Go to jail together,"

Lexis places his right hand on his forehead as his body tenses up.

"A true friend doesn't go to jail with you, a true friend stays outside to bail you out,"

Lexis slowly shakes his head and brings down his hands to his lips. He walks towards the bed, where she was seated.

"It's a trade, I help you with your nurse situation and you make sure I still have a job," Hera says assuming he's considering his options and her offer.

Lexis smirks and traces his lips relaxing.

"So the terms of this agreement is you help do the duties a nurse would have done and in return I make sure you have a job waiting for you?" Lexis asks.

Hera nods.

"Did you hear that?" Lexis asks the nurse.

"She helps check your vitals and you make sure she still has a job," The nurse says.

"Good, you're the witness to this agreement," Lexis says to the nurse who silently nods.

"Fine, I'll help you," Lexis says.

"Thank you," Hera says in relief.

Lexis places his hands on his back pocket and pulls out his phone.

He makes a call.

"Maeve," He says.

"I need you to call the head of HR at Mixx and tell her that Hera Reynolds..." He pauses and glances at Hera grinning.

"Will no longer be working at Mixx," He says earning a gasp from the nurse and a "WHAT?!" from Hera.

"No!" Hera says jumping up from the bed side to reach for the phone.

"Ouch," She exclaims in pain.

"Careful now we don't want you breaking a bone," Lexis says grinning.

"Alexander Black I said to make sure I still have a job not make sure I no longer have one!" Hera says in disbelief.

"And that's what I'm doing," He says holding the phone away from his ears and Hera.

"No you're trying to get me fired," Hera says as she straightens up and attempts to collect the phone again but Lexis steps back.

"Alexander!" Hera says.

"Let me finish my sentence," He says.

Hera looks at him suspiciously wondering whether to allow him or not.

He raises his eyebrow in question, she draws in her lower lip.

"Maeve," He calls out making sure she was still on the line.

"Call the head of HR at Mixx and let her know Hera Reynolds will no longer be working there..." He pauses and glances at Hera who has her eyes trained on him ready to pounce if he really meant it.

"Have her transfer her details to our HR," He says.

"Why?" Hera asks confused.

Maeve seem as to have asked the same as he replies,

"Because she's been hired as my Secretary," Lexis states ending the call.
