It's been ten years since that day. I can't trust them after what they did. They're cold blooded murderers. Zero thought, staring up at his ceiling. They could've just let us go and EVERYTHING would be fine. He spun in his desk chair and picked up a dark green jacket. It was dusty from age. Ms. Hally would've still been alive...

A doctor walked into the room. Her name tag read Dr. Joy. "Are you ready for testing Zero?" Zero glared at Joy. "I'm not going today. I'll do it tomorrow." Zero turned away from Joy. He knew who she was. What she had done. Joy was the who had taken him away from his original family and locked him up in this jail, away from civilization.
Joy cleared her throat, breaking the silence. "You said that yesterday."
"I know." Zero responded, his back still facing the doctor. Dr. Joy walked over to Zero and turned him around. "We'll try to make this quick, okay?" She stared dead into his eyes. Zero stared back. He didn't want to go anywhere.
"I'm not going anywhere." His voice slightly broke. "Now get out." His eye flashed red and Dr. Joy backed away.

Joy straightened out her lab coat and and sighed. "I'll come back tomorrow Zero." She opened his room door. "...but next time you won't have a choice." Zero muttered something under his breath as he put on the jacket. He soon laid in bed and drifted off to sleep.

"GET THE GUNS!"

"WE NEED BACKUP!"
"Haha~...Your weapons do nothing to me~!"
'SECURITY BREACH IN SECTOR 4'

Zero woke to people yelling and guns firing. He got out of bed and sighed. This is probably another one of those evacuation drills... He was about to unlock his door when it slammed open. Zero tumbled back and fell onto the floor. He saw Dr. Joy in the doorway, but something was off. Her eyes were cold as if she was dead. Zero had chills going dawn his spine. She stepped towards him and reached out a hand.  "Hey kid, you okay?" She smirked.

   Zero,confused, slid back and eventually bumped into the bed. "W-Who...What are you?"  'Joy' smiled.
"I see that you saw right through my masquerade."  The Dr. Joy imposter stood up straight and sighed as they showed their true form. Their skin turned green and scales appeared on their skin. Their eyes were yellow and slitted like a snake. The brown hair grew and turned black.  "I'm just like you." His voice was deep but calm.
    Zero raised an eyebrow. "You're like me?"
"Yep. Now do you want to get out of here?"
"You mean-"
The snake man interrupted. "Be outside in the real world? Yeah." He pulled Zero up off of the ground and grabbed his hand. "Now lets go. "

They walked down the now silent corridor, stepping over the dead bodies of security guards. "So kid, what's your name?"
"Zero." The serpent looked back at Zero with a confused expression.
"No, I mean you're real name."
Zero hesitated. "...I don't know my real name."
"That's okay. It'll come back to you eventually. Oh, and my names Matthew...but I prefer to be called Twenty-Two. Or just TT for short." Twenty-Two spoke.
"...Twenty-Two?" Zero asked. "Were you a experiment here too?"
TT was silent for a few moments before answering. "I was... but I didn't have the simple experiments like you did. The things that I was put through was hell..." He snickered. "Let's just say that you had it good Zero."

They eventually came up to large double doors. Zero looked over at the wall to see a girl with blue hair leaning on it. She glanced up and smiled. Before Zero could blink she was right in front of them. "Heh~ I almost got worried that something had happened to you~." She glanced over at Zero. "Who's the little guy?" TT looked over at Zero. "Oh, this is Zero."
   The girl smirked. "Zero huh? Well Zero, you can call me Spiral~." Spiral rubbed his head.
"Hey, Spiral, where's Anti?" TT asked. Spiral just gave him a confused look. "I have no idea..."
"You don't know?" TT asked, annoyed. Twenty-Two groaned and began walking towards the doors, not realizing that he was still holding Zero's hand. Spiral noticed this however and giggled. "What the fuck are you giggling about Spiral?" TT stopped and glared at Spiral.
"First off, language; second off, you're still holding your little boyfriends hand~." Spiral said still giggling. TT just groaned and let go of Zero's hand. "I'm going outside." With that statement he left through the large doors.

"We shouldn't keep him waiting. Matty has a really bad temper when he's in a mood~."Spiral said, walking towards the doors. "...but if you want to stay you can. Nobody's stopping you."
"I'll come." Zero said, trying to sound confident.
"Now that's the spirit~." Spiral dragged Zero to the door that was left open. "Welcome to Nova Earth, Zero~."
