Serena nodded, clearly impressed. "I can see that. You really know how to get the crowd moving. I'm looking forward to hearing more of your sets."

Across the table, Maya was finishing up her breakfast bowl when the waiter came by to clear the plates. She decided to take the opportunity to call out to the chef.

Maya decided to take a bold step. "Excuse me," she called out to the waiter, "Could you please ask the chef to come out? I'd love to compliment him on his cooking."

The waiter, slightly taken aback, went to relay the message to the kitchen. A few minutes later, the chef emerged, a friendly smile on his face, clearly used to receiving praise for his culinary creations.

"Hi there," the chef said, extending a hand. "I'm Alex. What can I do for you?"

Maya stood up, beaming with enthusiasm. "Alex, I just had to say how impressed I am with the food. Everything is absolutely delicious. And might I add, you're quite good-looking to boot. I bet you're taken."

Alex chuckled, a bit surprised but pleased. "Well, thank you! That's very flattering. Actually, I'm single at the moment. If you'd like, we could exchange numbers. I'd love to keep in touch."

Maya's eyes lit up. "That sounds great!" She took out her phone and shared her number with Alex, who did the same.

As Alex walked back to the kitchen, Maya returned to her seat with a satisfied smile. "Looks like breakfast just got a lot more interesting."

Chloe, still sitting next to Landon, gave a playful nudge. "You're not the only one making moves. Looks like Rex and Serena are getting along well too."

Rex chuckled, nodding towards Serena. "Yeah, it's been great getting to know her. And now, we've got a new friend in the mix."
