The Heartland for NASCAR and Miami for F1

A racing double header is here for F1 to take on the Miami Grand Prix and for the NASCAR Cup Series to race the Advent Health 400 at Kansas! Both races have hot weather, and there are drivers who want the hot hand of momentum as their seasons carry on.

F1

1st Sergio Perez

Just when the weekend looked like Max Verstappen had the upper hand on Checo, qualifying happened. When others like Max made mistakes, Perez picked up the pieces to secure his 1st pole, not in Saudi Arabia. This F1 season is still pretty young, but is this where Perez becomes the first Mexican driver to lead the world championship?

2nd Carlos Sainz

Ferrari now have that boost of momentum since Leclerc got a podium in Baku. Sainz might would have finished as high as 4th in Australia, but a controversial 5 second penalty for spinning out compatriot Fernando Alonso ended that solid run. Now, with his best qualifying of the year, it could be Carlos's turn to stand on the podium thus season.

3rd Fernando Alonso

Alonso is always right there. Now in the most competitive car that he has been in since arguably his time at Ferrari, Alonso has been on the podium 3 times. While a lot would have to go his way to score his first win since 2013, a podium looks certain for the 2 time world champion

Kansas

Bubba Wallace

While Wallace is the lowest Toyota driver in the points currently 21st, this could he the start of a rebound. The last half of last year Wallace had shown massive improvement per Denny Hamlin, the co-owner of 23XI Racing. Bubba also won the previous race at Kansas. The intermediate racetracks appear to be a strong track for Toyota to be strong at. Bubba could make his first ever Cup series playoff run with a win today.
