If anyone would have told you, "North Wilkesboro is coming back to the NASCAR circuit for the first time since 1996" You would be forgiven for believing they lost their mind. But it is happening! The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is going to run the Tyson 250 today at this historic facility. Nobody has run a stock car or truck ever at that place, but everyone wants to win NASCAR'S first North Wilkesboro race back.

Predicted winner: Matt Crafton

It may seem like a longshot for the 3 time Truck champion to get it done, but nobody is more experienced in a Truck than Matt Crafton. If I'm not mistaken, he has the record for the most Truck Series starts in history. This will hands down be the oldest pavement that anyone has raced on. With some new patches here and there, the pavement has been there since 1981. Yeah...........they will be slipping and sliding all over the place. But with a steady hand like Crafton has gained lately most notably in his 3rd championship and last race win, he may surprise some people with experience that pays off in the long run.
