There are lots of things it would be an honor to have named after you.  A new species of bird, for instance.  Or a newly discovered planet or star.  One thing you do not want to have named after you is a disease.  Because that probably means you're the first one to have it and therefore they won't know how to treat it and you probably end up dying from it.  And then nobody wants to get it so then your name becomes attached to some horrible thing and people are likely to curse your name and that's no good.  So, yeah.  Try not to have a disease named after you if you can help it.
