So we turned the clocks back an hour last night as part of the annual fall back ritual.  I kind of like gaining an extra hour on the weekend, but I don't know how I feel about the fact that it also starts getting dark at night so much earlier.  

As it was, we ended up having a pretty rough night last night.  There was an accident involving a family member who ended up spending the night in the hospital.  I don't think maybe it's my place to go into too many details here.  I forget sometimes that I'm posting this daily log publicly and not just for my own private perusals.  So I'll just say it was an unsettling experience and and it appears things are going to be all right now, but we didn't know last night.  

Gaining that extra hour actually was kind of helpful in this instance because I slept a lot later than I normally would after last night.  It made it feel like not such an egregious waste of the day.  But anyway, like I said it seems things are working out as well as possible, so that's good news.
