There's a famous musical called the Fantasticks that I've seen a couple productions of. If I remember correctly I was even involved on the tech side of one when I participated in theater in high school. It's extremely popular. Apparently it's one of the longest running Broadway musicals of all time.
With a name like that, I thought it was going to be mind-blowingly good. But I recall feeling like it was just sort of okay. Some of the songs were kind of okay. I'm trying to remember how most of them went. Get it? The most famous song is called "Try to Remember." The only other one that I seem to recall was one where the two dads are singing about how their kids do stupid things because they said no to them. I don't think I remember any other songs, at least not off the top of my head. But anyway, I'm not sure it merits the name. But then again, what do I know? Like I said, it was extremely successful and popular. Maybe it does deserve its title.
A movie that I think does live up to its audacious name is the Incredibles. Great animation, fun story, lots of really cool superhero action. It delivers the goods. It was also very successful and popular. More deservedly so, in my humble opinion.
Still, these examples got me thinking you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself when you give something a name like that. Can you really come through with a worthy product? You're setting expectations really high.
All I'm saying is it seems much more realistic to have shows or movies called The Okays, The Mediocres, or the About Averages. I guess people want stuff that's out of the ordinary, but you're much more likely to fulfill expectations with a title like that.
