It's about as not-winter as it can get around here, which makes it feel like an extremely appropriate time to talk about snow globes.  Actually since snow globes have a wintery connotation to them I wonder what the summer equivalent would be?  Sun globes?  Could you shake something up and make light flash around in it?  That would be cool.  What about globes for other kinds of weather?  Like rain globes?  Or sleet globes?  Or hail globes?  Hail globes sound kind of iffy.  I feel like the hail stones might break the glass when you shake the globe.  But I'd still like to see them.
