Happy Father's Day and Juneteenth.  It's probably a couple other random holidays, too, so happy whatever those are.

I got another update on the kitty cats that were abandoned when the next door neighbors moved out.  I've been able to pet one of them a few times now and give her treats, but the other one has been more skittish.  Last night I finally got to pet the second one.  They were both hanging out in our driveway but the little one bolted back next door when I came out.  The fluffy brown one I've been calling Brownie went under my car.  I actually laid down on the driveway and managed to coax her out and then started petting her and giving her a lot of treats.  After a little while I noticed the little one came back and was peeking out at me from under the car.  I think she took it as a good sign that I was petting Brownie and crept a little closer.  I tried to coax her towards me but she was still scared.  Finally I threw some treats towards her and when she saw Brownie eating them she felt safe enough to come out and eat some too.  I kept putting treats down a little closer and closer to me and finally I reached out and pet the little one.  Once I made contact it was all good and I was able to pet her a lot.  She was clearly really hungry as she put away a lot of treats.  All in all it was some good bonding and hopefully they're starting to trust me more.  Trying to get them into the house will be a whole other level of difficulty though since we already have a cat in there and two dogs.  Getting everyone used to each other will probably take work, but I'm optimistic.
