An update on the kitty cats that were abandoned by the next door neighbors when they moved out:  I was able to pet the fluffy brown one last night.  It was laying in our front yard and I sat down on the ground about ten feet away from it.  It meowed at me and started to walk towards me.  I gave it some treats and then when it went into the courtyard to eat the food we put out I was able to walk in behind it and go back inside the house without freaking it out.  I'm going to keep trying to bond with it.

I saw the other cat this morning hiding under one of our cars, but it bolted and ran back next door.  I'll have to keep trying with that one.

Still looking possible that we might be adopting a couple cats soon.
