There's absolutely no reason why I would ever be elected to be a sheriff.  I am blatantly unqualified for the job and I don't think I would want it anyway. 

But if for some crazy reason it came to pass, you'd better believe immediately upon assuming the position I would say to every single person I met "Guess what?  There's a new sheriff in town!"  I would continue saying this for as long as I could plausibly get away with it.  At least for the first year in office, right?  

I just can't imagine I would ever get tired of saying that.
