It's Mother's Day today.  I'm obviously not a Mom but I have a Mom and I will be sure to give her a call today.  

I do have a lot of respect for moms.  It's got to be one of the hardest jobs I can possibly imagine.  Just the physical process of growing a tiny person inside of you and then having to painfully push it out is crazy to me.  And that's only the beginning.  Then you have to be responsible for a human being at all of the different stages of their life, all of which bring their own challenges.  I'm not even sure what would be the most difficult.  The lack of sleep and dirty diapers that go along with babies or dealing with the surly attitudes of teenagers?  Or something else entirely?  Toddlers seem like a whole boatload of energy and difficulty.  Also your kids may grow up and move out, but you never stop being a mom.  It's a life-long commitment.  Once you accept the title of Mom it's yours forever.  

Here's to all the moms out there.  We literally wouldn't be here without you.
