In the department of things that are a pretty big deal as an adult but would have been at best a subject of mild interest as a kid, we just got new couches today.  Truth be told it was long overdue.  We hung on to the old couches for a long time because they were still really comfy, but the cushions had gotten some rips in them which were progressively getting worse.  At some point our dogs figured out they could tear stuffing out of them and then things went downhill quickly.  By then end it looked like we were living in a crack den or something.  It was obvious it was time to bite the bullet and upgrade.

And upgrade we did!  The new couches all have recliners built in.  And on top of that we got a little crazy and got and splurged on a fancy massage chair.  It looked a little smaller in the store than it actually is and doesn't perfectly fit our space, but we're going to make it work.  And man does it ever give a good massage though.  It's not the sort of thing I ever thought I'd own, but it is a heck of a luxury, that's for sure.  

Well, I know all this furniture talk is some really riveting stuff, but it's been a big deal in my world.  Just prepping for it the last few days has been a lot.  We had junk guys come yesterday and haul off the old couches along with some other bulky crap that we've been needing to get rid of for a long time.  

I'm just hoping these new couches last a long time.  I don't really want to go through this whole process again any time soon.
