I just ate an apple and I haven't tossed the core yet so I'm sitting here staring at it and it reminded me of an old Chip and Dale cartoon where they find an apple core and one of them shouts out "Apple Core!" and the other replies "Baltimore!" And the first one says "Who's your friend?"  And then the second one says "Donald Duck!"  And they throw the apple core at Donald and hilarity ensues.  

So I got it into my mind that this was like a "thing" that people did.  Like a fun game and when you asked "who's your friend?" you threw the apple core at whoever was named.  One time in college this scenario ended up playing out and I was playing this game with a friend and his response to the question "who's your friend?" was our third friend who happened to be sitting right there so I chucked the apple core at him at short range and it ended up bopping him in the face kind of hard and then I felt bad about it and realized maybe this isn't the awesome little silly game it appeared to be.

Lesson learned, Disney cartoons can teach dangerous lessons.  Although come to think of it I think Donald Duck got pretty pissed off after they threw the apple core at him.  I thought it was just one of his normal overreacting temper tantrums, but I guess it's not actually all that fun to get pelted with an apple core.
