I remember one of my favorite movies when I was a youngster was Teen Wolf.  It starred Michael J. Fox as the titular teenager who discovers he's a werewolf and utilizes that to dominate in basketball.  It's a pretty inherently ridiculous concept, but I guess it must have been a pretty successful movie because I remember they made a Saturday morning cartoon out of it.  They also made a sequel starring Jason Bateman doing pretty much exactly the same thing except in the boxing ring.  

I haven't watched it in forever and I have my doubts as to how well it would hold up, but I found it fun.  I mean it sounds like a fun, wacky idea, although I'm not sure it follows established werewolf lore all that well.  From what I recall he doesn't need the full moon to turn into the wolf, but he can kind of change whenever he wants, which is convenient because he can just wolf out in basketball games and destroy the competition.  Of course he learns some sort of lesson by the end that he doesn't need the wolf and he refuses to change during the championship game and his team still wins.  

I wonder if he would be allowed to compete in wolf form in the first place.  I know it's only high school level basketball, but people seem to take the supposed integrity of their athletic competitions seriously.  Being a werewolf certainly gives him an unfair competitive advantage not unlike performance enhancing drugs.  Plus, I don't know about you, but if someone turned into a werewolf on the basketball court, I'm not sure I'd stick around to finish the game.  I think I'd be out of there in a hurry.

But let's just say everyone is fine playing basketball against a werewolf.  There's still gotta be something in the rulebook against that.  I would imagine some sort of governing body would come in after the fact and cause the team to forfeit all of its wins due to the obvious cheating that was taking place.  

How many werewolves exist in the world anyway?  Maybe they should start their own werewolf basketball league.  I'd watch the hell out of that.
