Dreams are definitely weird.  A lot of the time I either don't remember them at all, or I remember them when I first wake up, but they start to fade as I go about the day.  I almost always completely buy into the reality of them when I'm in the midst of them, but they generally make no sense whatsoever once I start thinking about them when I wake up.

I remember part of a dream I had this morning because it had a bit of a disturbing image.  Apparently I had cut off my right hand at the forearm, even though I still clearly had a right hand attached to my body.  That's dream logic for you.  The disturbing part is I found my old right hand just laying around.  It wasn't entirely clear how long it had been since I lost it, but it was in relatively good shape.  It was a not so great discovery to make though.  Under any circumstances, seeing a part of your body not attached to your body is shocking.

The worst part is it wasn't like I was keeping it in a closet or something either, although that would have been bad, too.  No, it was laying around in a public area where people were walking around.  I kept trying to apologize for leaving my detached hand out where anyone could stumble upon it and then I tried asking everyone I encountered if they knew how to dispose of a hand.  Nobody seemed to have an answer for that, so instead of doing anything productive I seemed to just leave the hand where it was.  I think I tried to cover it up with a towel at some point, but that honestly seems like a bit of a band-aid to the situation.

I don't remember any resolution to the dream beyond that.  Either it changed to something else or I woke up.  I'm sure my subconscious is trying to tell me something with a dream like this, but I have no idea what.
