The other night I had a dream where I was stopped in the street by some random guy I didn't know.  He told me he had been listening to my music online and really liked it.  As an extremely not famous person, this seemed like a pretty cool thing, so I was just like "Oh, thanks, man  I really appreciate that."  He then informed me he especially loved my song "Smoking Weird" before wishing me well and heading on his way.  I was thinking about how nice the whole encounter was before remembering I didn't have a song called "Smoking Weird."  

I woke up shortly after that and came to the realization it had all been a dream.  Nonetheless, I was thinking about it a little afterwards.  Most dreams seem to be completely nonsensical, but I can't help but try to make some sense of them anyway.  And this one was at least more coherent than most.  So what was the deal?  Did this guy have me mistaken for someone else?  Or was this some sort of glimpse of a possible future?

I've dreamed songs before, most of which I can't remember afterward, but this might be the first time I can recall dreaming a song title.  The first thing that occurred to me was, well, I don't have a song called "Smoking Weird" but maybe my subconscious is telling me I should.  In theory, it's a simple enough thing to do.  Just come up with a song and give it that title.  I have no idea what the heck that title means though.  Is it someone who has a strange smoking technique?  Is "weird" slang for drugs or something?  That guy's smoking the weird again.  Or is it a term for something that's really odd?  Kind of like smoking hot, but smoking weird.  Or maybe it doesn't mean anything and it's just the result of random firing of synapses.  In which case, maybe the song is an instrumental.  

I don't know, I guess I've got to figure that out.  But I do kind of like having titles without songs sometimes.  It can give you some inspiration.  And lord knows I'm going to need lots of that if I'm going through with this Weekly Beats project this year, which is currently the plan.
