I like how in the world of Scooby Doo the best possible way to pull off a crime is to dress up as a monster and scare people off.  And the only reason their plans are ever foiled is because a bunch of meddling kids come around.  If it wasn't for that, they would have gotten away scot free.  

I think crime in real life would be a lot more fun if more criminals took the Scooby Doo approach.  Yes, I'm going to embezzle this money and I'm going to get away with it because I'm dressed like a werewolf and I'm making sure to stay clear of teenagers.  

It sounds like a pretty solid plan to me.
