If you think about it, we're all sort of living on top of giant mountains.  Because really all that continents are is land that's high enough to reach above the water.  Okay, I know there are places on land that are below sea level like Death Valley, so I guess if you're there you're not on top of a mountain.  It's kind of like you're in a canyon or something, but you're protected by the mountains because if you were able to somehow transport Death Valley to the coast, the ocean would flood in and it would no longer be land.

I don't really know where I'm going with this.  This kind of seems like the sort of thought one would have when they're high, but I'm totally sober right now.  I wasn't totally sure what I felt like writing about today and nothing was coming to me for a while, but I was staring at a map I have on my wall of the United States, just looking at the ocean surrounding the land and it sort of popped into my head.  I don't know why I'm explaining this exactly either.  I shouldn't have to justify myself to you people.
