Saiibo: I'm Always Here for You
(A/N): Okay, I know I've been doing a bit more Saiibo writing as of late, but I've been getting a lot of requests for it. Besides, what can I say? It's a cute ship. That being said, this is another request from the lovely Flaming_SaiiboAce !
P.S.: I don't think Kokichi's a bad person in this, he just looses track of his words sometimes and forgets to consider how they affect those around him.
Warnings: Murder, mentions of violence, self loathing
The newest motive from Monokuma was absurd in Kiibo's opinion. It was so unrealistic and outlandish that no one in their right mind would even consider it.
At least... that's what Kiibo thought. Perhaps he had too much faith in his classmates.
That's exactly the opposite of what happened.
There he was, standing in Angie's lab, looking at her bloody, lifeless body.
But Kiibo was able to steady himself by looking over at the resident detective who looked just as horrified as he was. But even so... his eyes held a determination and humanity that gave Kiibo hope that things would turn out alright.
As the investigation began, Korekiyo suggested they preform a seance to directly ask the spirit of Angie who killed her.
Kiibo volunteered to participate, but Kokichi pointed out that since Kiibo wasn't technically a "person" that he might not count as a participant. So, he was forced to wait on the sidelines, his face burning with embarrassment and his heart heavy.
Though, a few minutes went by and he felt that something was seriously wrong. There was a chilling silence coming from the adjacent room.
When Kiibo reentered the seance room, the first thing he saw was blinding pink... Tenko was laying in a puddle of her own blood.
Kiibo grabbed his arm tightly, trying not to seem outlandishly shaken by the martial artist's death. He looked down, his thoughts speeding up as he shifted his weight in distress.
No... you're a robot... you can't feel so intensely, just act natural. The white haired bot told himself over and over again until he was able to shove his panic far enough down that he could look past it.
Someone gently tapped his shoulder, causing him to flinch.
Shuichi frowned, looking guilty as he retracted his hand. "Kiibo-kun, I didn't mean-"
"Ah... s-sorry about that, Saihara-san! I was just... thinking!"
"I should be the one apologizing... but anyways, we have to go to the trial grounds; are you ready?"
I'm not. Kiibo gulped. "As ready as I'll ever be."

The trial reawakened Kiibo's stress.
Even though Shuichi lead the trial, the whole scenario plagued his mind. The execution, of course, was no help either. Kiibo was completely horrified as the blackened was boiled alive and exercised before everyone's eyes.
Kiibo made a beeline for the elevator, not even Himiko's crying beckoned him to stay.
He had a single mission in that moment: he needed to leave, to get as far away from the trial grounds as he could.
So he started running, not noticing a certain young man worriedly going after him.
***
Shuichi was extremely concerned.
The trial had been tough for them all, but he could practically see Kiibo's happiness and stability draining away with each new case. Perhaps in that regard they were one in the same.
But that didn't matter right now. Shuichi needed to get to Kiibo. He knew that the white haired young man needed support.
In reality, Shuichi was rather upset that he hadn't supported him more; he was just so scared of angering his peers.
"Kiibo-kun?" Shuichi pushed down his own self loathing as he saw Kiibo's dorm room door slam shut.
He walked over to the door, running a thin, pale hand along Kiibo's picture. "Kiibo-kun? I-it's me, Saihara. I just want to talk."
No response.
"Kiibo... I don't know exactly how you feel, but... I know that all this isn't exactly... simple to process. I... want to be here for you..."
Shuichi heard a click. To his surprise, the door opened slightly, an electric blue eye analyzing him intently.
"C-can I... um..." Shuichi licked his lips anxiously. "come in?"
Kiibo looked down, thinking for a moment. "..." He stepped away, opening the door so Shuichi could enter.
Shuichi took his silent invitation, stepping in and surveying the room. It was pretty barren other than a bed, some wires and equipment and a few empty shelves.
The room was so lifeless and empty. Shuichi couldn't help but frown when he watched Kiibo plug himself in.
"Sometimes... recharging calms me down." Kiibo explained quietly.
Shuichi nodded, looking empathetically at Kiibo. He tentatively sat beside him.
"I can't eat, Shuichi." Kiibo continued quietly. "I can't breathe or drink liquids or even sleep... so I can't help but wonder... if what I feel is real."
"Kiibo, I-" Shuichi paused, collecting his thoughts. "Just because you're not human doesn't mean your feelings don't matter. You matter just as much as the rest of us."
Kiibo looked up at the detective in shock.
"So I just want you to know... I'll be here for you from now on." Shuichi said, leaning in and hugging the shorter one.
(A/N): Sorry this took so long! I had family in town and I wanted to spend extra time with them!
