(A/N): This is an AU where Hajime is in a similar position to Pink Diamond. He started a rebellion while disguised as a quartz and all, but after being poofed, his gem cracked (he got it healed later), and he ended up forgetting his life as a Diamond. As a diamond, he was Izuru Kamakura.

This AU is based on Steven Universe. If you haven't seen Steven Universe or Danganronpa, this story probably will be confusing for you. Please keep that in mind.

"Hey Nagito?"

"Yes, My Diamond?"

Hajime sighed, frustrated. "Nagito, don't call me that. I don't even remember what I was like back then."

Nagito looked away, biting his lip to help hide his wave of obvious sadness.

Hajime couldn't help but feel guilty. Nagito would often talk about Hajime's previous life as a diamond with such admiration and affection that Hajime couldn't help but feel jealous. He wanted the pearl to feel the same way about his present and past.

"Nagito, I didn't mean it like that..."

"Oh, I know, Hajime! I just..." He sighed, trailing off as his cheeks turned slightly pink, like the peach ends of his hair."You were so radiant."

Hajime pursed his lips. "Could you... tell me about what I was like? Before everything?"

Nagito blinked, clearly caught off guard by the request.

"You don't have to if you don't want to! I was just thinking-"

Nagito nodded slowly. "I think you should know..." He said quietly. "and I need to stop avoiding your-our past..."

Izuru was bored.

Well, he was ALWAYS bored, but he had hoped that after personally overseeing a colony for the first time, that his boredom may subside, at least temporarily. But alas, here he was.

"I was hoping that colonization would be a slight bit more engaging. It seems I was mistaken." Izuru said aloud, a hint of annoyance coloring his otherwise monotonous voice.

Nagito looked over at him with his pale grayish-green eyes. "Ah, bored again, My Diamond? I have a proposal, if you'd hear me out!"

Izuru's eyebrows raised slightly. He was still mildly confused by his pearl, Nagito. Somehow, a mere pearl interested him more than anything else. He couldn't understand how such was possible given how intelligent he himself was. "Elaborate."

Nagito smiled brightly, seeming grateful. "We could go to the surface."

Izuru instinctively shook his head. "The other diamonds would never allow such an act." He had to avoid the fact that the idea intrigued him.

"I know. I considered that." His smile widened. "That's why I thought that you could disguise yourself as a quartz!"

"Hm. A burnt orange quartz?"

"The quartz specimens on Earth come in a plethora of colors!" Nagito informed him. "No one would bat an eye at a quartz of your hue!"

Izuru couldn't help himself. Maybe for once, he could be entertained by such a rebellious idea. "I suppose..."

Nagito beamed at him. He couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that he was the reason that smile came to pass.

Izuru's smiles were few and far between. Whenever Nagito saw his diamond smile, he felt personally blessed and this time was no exception.

Izuru passed the quartzes dismissively, focusing on the radiant light provided by the star of Earth's solar system. "Mm..."

Nagito looked up at him.

Izuru returned the gaze. "It looks like you, the star."

Nagito looked quite overjoyed as his face became the same peach color as the ends of his hair. "My Diamond! T-thank you..."

It was simply an observation, but Nagito's reaction made it memorable. It reminded Izuru of the odd intrigue that the pearl unintentionally gave him.

They walked through the immobile, organic life that Earth had to provide, stopping to admire the scenery every so often.

After a while, the pair sat down.

Izuru plucked a small clover. Four leaves... how uncommon for such a plant.

He put the clover in Nagito's fluff of a mane as he attempted to smile. He wasn't entirely sure why, but the ambiance of this planet made Izuru feel a sense of tranquility which was only furthered by Nagito's presence.

"M-my Diamond..." Nagito was definitely blushing now.

"I enjoy it here." Izuru informed him. "But more importantly... I enjoy being with you. I'd like to return someday and come here together again."
