FuyuPeko: Dates on the Beach
Warnings: Language (it's Fuyuhiko, so...), implied make-out scene
Fuyuhiko was nervous, which as a Yakuza heir, was an emotion that he was told to bury deep and eliminate. But, in this case, he couldn't.
He and the rest of his classmates were currently on a trip to Jaberwok Island (which he thought was a stupid name, especially considering that there were multiple islands).
They had been there for about a month now. Fuyuhiko, upon Peko's request, had been attempting to make friends. It wouldn't have gone very well if the painfully colorful Kazuichi hadn't taken him under his wing of friendliness and extroversion, and, luckily for him, that exact scenario took place. By default, Fuyuhiko became friends with Kazuichi's other "best bro", Hajime. So, he was actually doing quite well on the social front.
But, that wasn't what he was nervous about, oh no. He was nervous because he had finally worked up the guts to ask Peko on a date, after a decade of wishing he could express how much she meant to him. While he had already asked her on a date and gotten a positive reply, he now had a little over twenty-four hours to plan the perfect evening for Peko.
And he was going to ask his friends for advice because he had no idea what to do.

Fuyuhiko made sure to hide his nerves before knocking on Hajime's cabin door. He would have gone to Kazuichi if he was sure that the mechanic wouldn't freak out and spill oil on him. Anyways, he psyched himself up and knocked on the wooden door.
He heard a thud, followed by a bit of yelling.
After a few seconds of commotion and slight rustling, the door opened to reveal a slightly disheveled Hajime.
Fuyuhiko's amber eyes trailed down to Hajime's chest. "... You look alarmed."
Hajime laughed nervously. "O-oh; do I? I didn't mean-"
Fuyuhiko looked over the brunet's shoulder. "Is that... Komaeda?"
Hajime froze, lookining like Fuyuhiko had just caught him committing treason. "Komaeda-kun? W-why would he be in my ca-"
Nagito promptly rolled out of the closet, along with various other random objects that Hajime had collected over the month that they had been on the island.
Nagito got up quickly, not even bothering to dust himself off. "I... n-need to go!" He exclaimed nervously before crawling out of the cabin window.
"Oi! Na-" Hajime sighed defeatedly. "Okay, yeah, Nagito's here. Or, well, was." He admitted.
"Were you and him... actually, I don't care, right now. I have something to ask you."
Hajime was taken back by the yakuza's unusually level tone, usually he sounded much angrier when he spoke. "Sure... great timing. What's up?" Hajime was sure to add a little sprinkle of sass into his response.
"I..." He forced himself to continue. "I need your help."
That seemed to catch Hajime's attention because of how unusual he sounded. "What do you need?"
Fuyuhiko released a breath. "I need your help planning a date."
Hajime's eyes gradually widened. "With Pekoyama-san?"
Fuyuhiko nodded in confirmation. "I was thinking... since you and Kaz are my 'bros' or some sh*t, that asking was a normal thing to do..."
Hajime smirked at the tiny yakuza's wording. "I'm in. I'm sure Kaz is too, whenever he comes back from his Sonia simping session. When's the date?"
"Tonight."
Hajime paused. "Oh brilliant..."
"I panicked while I was confessing!" The Ultimate snarled in his own defense. "It doesn't matter! I'm not letting you break your damn promise!"
Hajime help up his hands in mock surrender. "I was simply stating my feeling. I never said I was cowering away from helping."
Fuyuhiko backed away from his threatening position. "You better not."
Hajime decided to continue. "Uh... so where are you two going out?"
Fuyuhiko shrugged. "I've never done this, hell if I know."
"In that case, what about the beach? We're on a tropical island, after all. Might as well use it."
Fuyuhiko mentally facepalmed. Why didn't I think of that? "So... like a beach picnic or something?"
Hajime shrugged. "Sure. That sounds cute. I'd ask Ibuki to play some romantic music, but..."
The blond thought back to Sonia and Gundam's date a week ago. "Hard pass. I wanna charm Peko, not make her ears bleed."
Hajime chuckled. "Hanamura-san would probably make something for you both to eat on your date."
"Did I hear someone say DATE?!" A familiar voice asked eagerly.
Fuyuhiko rolled his eyes. "Look who decided to o finally show up."
"Hey, Kaz." Hajime greeted the mechanic.
"Yo! What did I miss? I heard one of you say date?" Kazuichi gave his friends a shark-toothed grin.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Fuyuhiko scoffed rudely.
"Ignore him. He's just grumpy that I'm planning his own date better than him." Hajime said playfully.
Fuyuhiko glared harshly at the brunet. "I'm gonna pretend that I didn't hear you say sh*t. So, are you two gonna help me set up?"
The taller boys looked at each other.
"Well, he can't reach anything without us."
"I guess we have no choice."
Fuyuhiko huffed. "I hate this f*cking family."

"Can I put my glasses back on?"
"Not yet." She could feel him smile through his tone.
"Young Ma- Fuyuhiko, I cannot see." The silver haired girl deadpanned. Even with the yakuza holding her hand as a guide, it was hard to walk in her heels when she could barely see a foot in front of herself.
"Okay, here we are. You can put them back on now."
She nodded, putting the crimson framed glasses back on her face.
She gasped, her ruby eyes widening as she saw the decorated beach around her.
(A/N: Pretend that the people and chairs aren't there, this is a date, not a wedding; this was the best pic I could find on Pinterest)
"Fuyuhiko... you did all of this?" Peko asked, still admiring the breathtaking scene before her.
"Well... I had a bit of help." He admitted sheepishly.
Peko smiled. "I'm glad you're finally comfortable asking that of someone. And I adore this. It's beautiful."
"N-not as beautiful as you..." The yakuza blushed heavily after saying that cliche phrase.
Peko blinked, her face reddening as she comprehend his words. "Fuyuhiko..."
"Should we... eat?" The freckled one suggested, not wanting to mess the evening up.
Peko giggled at his nervousness. "Absolutely." She took his hand, leading him to the lavishly filled picnic basket awaiting them.
(A/N): This ended up being a lot more about Fuyuhiko asking help from his friends than it being about his date with Peko, than I was planning on, but I still think it turned out cute.
I hope you guys enjoyed!
