Alex x Amy: Date Night

Requested by the lovely AwkwardWritingPotato !

Warnings: Alex has anger issues or something, sorry if that upsets you

It was date night. Alex made sure that everything was in order.

The plan was simple: he and Amy would go out to eat at the new pizza place she had been wanting to try, he would pay for dinner and they'd head to Rosswood Park for some stargazing.

Easy to pull off, right?

Wrong.

It started out great. Amy was wearing a new lacy dress that Alex thought completed her very well. The waitress was nice, but not flirty (thank the Operator). And the ambiance was quite lovely.

Alex and Amy were the only ones there... until another man walked through the door.

"Table for how many, sir?"

"Just one."

Alex froze, internally recoiling as he realized how he knew that heavy and tired voice.

Amy looked at him confusedly. "Hun? What's wrong?"

Alex didn't respond, turning around in his seat to confirm his theory.

He grimaced as he made eye contact with a pair of dark, coffee eyes.

"Tim..." He growled out.

The shorter man just sighed and turned away, obviously wanting to avoid confrontation.

Too bad Alex wasn't having it.

"Al-" Amy tried to get through to him, but he was already gone.

"You've got some nerve showing up here!" Alex snarled, marching over to the brunet.

Tim raised a brow. "Sorry, I didn't know public property was off limits." He responded dryly, trying his best to ignore the almost fuming young man behind him.

Unfortunately, Alex didn't take very well to sass. "You little-"

"Alex." Amy stood up, firmly gripping her boyfriend's shoulder. "Apologize."

"But he-"

"It doesn't matter, Amy." Tim muttered, standing up. "It's on my for showing my face or whatever." He sighed heavily, standing up and walking out of the restaurant.

Alex couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction now that Tim was out of the picture. "Well, thank goodness he's gone. Let's-"

"Ugh!" Amy glared at him. "Why do you always do this?!" She stormed out the door, taking her stuff with her.

Alex inhaled sharply, realizing he made a mistake. "Amy?! Wait!" He ran after her.

She wasn't in the parking lot. He drove them to the restaurant, so she couldn't have gotten far just by walking.

He quickly remembered that there was a small plot of empty land nearby. Without much thought, he ran in the direction, hoping Amy would be there.

He looked around, about to give up, but he looked a bit more to his right and saw a young woman in a knee length lace dress.

"Amy!" He jogged over to her. "I've been looking for-"

Alex paused, realizing why she still had her back turned to him. She was crying.

"Amy?" He said softly, growing concerned.

The blonde sniffed. "Alex... why can't you just let your frustrations go sometimes?"

Alex stiffened, becoming defensive. "I-I do. I just-"

"It's never about us when we're together, Lex." She continued, trying to keep her tone level. "You're always ranting about Jay or Seth or... anyone! Is that all I am to you? A vent for your frustration?!"

Alex felt his eyes widen. "Amy... it's not like that... I love you."

Amy huffed, plopping down onto the fried grass below them. "Do you really, Alex? Because you sure don't act like it."

"Then... how do I make this work?!"

Amy looked at him, her mouth slightly ajar.

"I want to show you that I mean what I say to you."

"Well..." Amy pursed her lips. "I don't have an answer. You'll have to find a solution yourself."

Alex, much to her surprise, gave her a firm nod, taking her hand in his in confirmation. "I'm willing to do that."

Amy gave him a slight smile. "Really?"

"I'd move mountains for you, Amy."

Amy giggled, blushing. "You're such a poet sometimes. I love you."

He leaned in for a kiss. "I love you too."

Amy happily wrapped her arms around her boyfriend, erasing the distance between them.

(A/N): Sorry if this was bad. I'm not good at writing angst when my mood is okay, but I didn't feel like waiting around to write this until I was upset, so here we are.
