"Mom! I don't want to!" Jungkook is adamant not to go on any dates set up by his mother

"Jungkook please... I never forced you in these 15 years.... but you deserve love too... just give Jimin a chance... I heard a lot of good things about him..."

Jungkook reluctantly agrees and goes to meet his blind date. Actually Jimin was going to meet him to discuss a business idea. Jungkook's mom had tried to make it as a blind date - Jimin had no idea about the same

"This is your table sir..." a waiter guides a tiny human to Jungkook's table

Jungkook sighs internally as he keeps going through his phone

"Thank you so much..."

That voice makes Jungkook look up, his eyes locking with the ones looking at him. The tiny boy's eyes nearly disappear in the smile he flashed Jungkook

"Hi... Jungkook, right? I'm Jimin..."

Jungkook couldn't help but smile slightly as he stands up and rounds the table to help pull up a chair for the boy

"Oh thank you... you didn't need to do that..." Jimin says sitting down

"I wanted to..."

Jungkook goes back to his seat and stared at the boy, making Jimin blush

"Why? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I... you just look too beautiful to look away..."

Jimin's blush deepens "You are such a flirt huh? I didn't hear that about you though..."

"That's because I am not... you just brought that side out of me..."

Jimin couldn't help but smile at that.

Jimin was 27 and Jungkook 35. Jimin had heard from his colleague that even if the man didn't know Jungkook personally - Jungkook was someone who kept to himself and a bit on the introvert side and had advised him to not bore the man with too much details on his business ideas.

That business meeting turned out to be a start to many of their dates.

"I will drop you home... it's no bother" Jimin says picking Jungkook up from work.

The man's car had broken down and Jimin offered the man a lift

It's been a month since their first date and the two had fallen in love deeply

"Thank you for dropping me home..." Jungkook says as he reaches for the car door and gets out

Jimin gets out too and walks Jungkook to the door

"It's the weekend tomorrow so my roommates' boyfriends will be staying over.. do you mind if I..." Jimin tries to hint staying over at Jungkook's

"I .." Jungkook is nervous and he panics when the front door opens

"Dad!" A teenage girl opens the door and smiles at him

Jimin is shocked as he looks between the girl and Jungkook

"Dad?... she is your daughter?"

The girl looks at Jimin confused

Jimin looks at Jungkook

Jungkook gulps before nodding

Jimin lets out a chuckle of disbelief

"I...I have to go..." Jimin walks back to the car

"Jimin..." Jungkook whispers as he decides to go after Jimin but just then his daughter trips over when she tries to see what was going on and Jungkook goes to her

Jimin didn't answer any of Jungkook's calls or messages. He was hurt. Very badly hurt that Jungkook chose to hide such an important part of his life from him.

Jungkook meets Jimin outside his apartment with his daughter Y/N

Jimin decides to give Jungkook a chance to talk seeing Y/N look at him with her doe eyes

Jungkook couldn't stop apologizing but Jimin just wanted to know one thing

"You hide your daughter from me? Why?"

"...I was scared you wouldn't want to be with a single dad of a teenager..."

Jimin sighs nodding his head in understanding as he looks between Jungkook and Y/N

"What about her mother..."

"She is dead!" Y/N says with no emotion and Jimin felt bad for the both of them

"Jungkook... I need some time..."

Jungkook nods his head as he watches Jimin walk away

"Will Jimin forgive you and accept you back?" Y/N worries as she looks at her dad who looked lost

"I hope so. Even if I don't deserve him"

Jimin thought about this for a week, during which time Jungkook never bothered him but Y/N, she would often come and visit Jimin at work asking for the boy to forgive her dad

Jimin decides to forgive the man and they start hanging out together as a family- the 3 of them.

It's been 2 months since then and Jimin started sleeping over at Jungkook's apartment at times.

And it was during one of those times when A/N visits them

"Hi... how can I help you?" Jimin asks opening the door when the bell rings

"I came to see my daughter"

Those words make Jimin's heart nearly stop beating

"D-Daughter?"

"Yes... now where is my Y/N" A/N pushes Jimin and walks into the apartment

"Babe! Who was at the door?" Jungkook asks walking into the living room only to still when he sees the girl

"A/N?"

"Hey darling!" A/N says walking towards Jungkook

The man looked shocked

"Kookie..." Jimin's voice brings Jungkook back to reality "...who is she?"

"Oh honey... I'm A/N... Y/N's mother and Jungkook's ex wife..."

Jimin's heart breaks

"Why do you have to lie every time Jungkook?" Jimin is trying his best to control his tears "...first you hide the truth about having a kid and now about her mother's death? Okay I know Y/N was the one who said that but you never corrected her words in these 2 months. Why? Just why?!"

"I'm sorry..."

Jimin couldn't help but sob at Jungkook's voice that was laced with regret

"...It was okay as long as she wasn't in the picture... you could move on... now... now you are saying she is alive and well.." Jimin's voice is angry and sad ".... what if old feelings come up.... after all she is the mother of your child... what if one day you decide to be a family again.... I can't do this... please... I can't..."

Jimin leaves yet again, breaking Jungkook's heart

"Y/N, you shouldn't be here... your dad and mom will get worried if you keep coming here..." Jimin sighs letting the girl into his apartment

It's been two days since Jimin stopped talking to the Jeon family

"Mom? I don't have a mom. She is not my mother and never will be!.." Y/N says with such hatred that it shocks Jimin "... Dad ... he doesn't love her. He never did. I was born because she forced herself on him after drugging him..." Jimin nearly stops breathing at those words "....They had an arranged marriage when they were barely 20 years old. He divorced her after that incident. Then she revealed that she was pregnant so he supported her and then after I was born, she just left with his money....unfortunately court has granted her visitation rights till I'm 18.." a tear drops from Y/N's eyes "....please don't hate my dad. In my 15 years of life, I have never seen my dad happy... not until you came into his life...." Y/N smiles "... I still remember the day he came back home after meeting you for the first time... he was so energetic and so full of life... I thought he won a lottery.... and I can see why ..... I can feel the same happiness being with you..." Y/N's smile disappears "....he will never come to you... because he feels he doesn't deserve you... and that you deserve better... it's true... you don't need to be mingled in this mess... but trust me... he needs you... he has suffered so much ... he really deserves your love... you are his only happiness... please... please just at least consider..."

"Dad!" Y/N yells as soon as she gets home

"Oh Y/N you came home? Did you eat already? If not let me order you something okay?" Jungkook's voice is dry as he enters the living room looking at his phone to order

"Hey"

Jungkook stills as he slowly looks up to see the face behind that voice. The voice he has missed so badly

"J-Jimin..."

"You guys should talk..." Y/N says before leaving

The two stand in silence, both trying to read each other

"Jiminah... why ..why are you here?" Jungkook's voice is shaking. He is afraid of what Jimin will say

"To talk... about us.... I'm sorry I didn't know...." Jimin sighs seeing Jungkook confused "...Y/N... she told me about A/N and you..."

Jungkook sighs looking away

"It's unfortunate that it happened...it still gives me nightmares sometimes..but I am thankful I got Y/N... she is nothing like her mom..."

Jungkook looks at Jimin "...I'm still sorry though... nothing excuses me hiding the truth from you.... twice... and for that I'm really sorry... I know you think it's because I don't trust you... it's not that at all... it's because I know I don't deserve you ... and telling the truth to you... I would be obliged to give you an option to leave me... and I didn't want to give you that option... I didn't want you to leave me.... I'm sorry for being selfish... I'm sorry I didn't have the heart to let you go after finally finding the one who made me feel complete... I'm sorry but I waited 35 years for this feeling... and I just couldn't... but I love you..." Jungkook says walking closer to Jimin "....I love you so much that I can't hurt you like this... it's your decision at the end of the day... I apologize if my daughter has caused you any distress by telling my truth.... but please just know that we both love you so much... and want you to be a part of this family..."

Jimin looks at the man, his eyes streaming with tears

"Please don't cry... I hate to see you cry..." Jungkook says wiping Jimin's tears

"I love you Kookie... I want to give us another chance..." Jimin says making Jungkook let out a sob

"Thank you. Thank you. I love you too... so much, my baby..." Jungkook says hugging the boy tightly "...I will never hide anything from you again..."

Y/N couldn't help but cry silently watching her dad and soon to be dad clearing all misunderstandings
