Jungkook and Jimin had been the best of friends growing up. If Jungkook wasn't in Jimin's house, Jimin was in Jungkook's. They were inseparable.

Everything was going well between the two. They got into college together and it was during their second year there that A/N joined their university. She was your typical dream girl - she was hot, sassy but sweet with an innocent smile that captivated people. Jungkook was no exception. He appreciated beauty. He didn't really bother with her but when she approached him for directions and later finding out that A/N was his dad's best friend's daughter, they started hanging out on insistence from his dad.

Jimin often felt like a third wheel in their hangouts. Jimin felt it awkward how A/N tried to touch Jungkook or lean closer to him and the man didn't really try to push her away, especially after Jungkook would look over at Jimin as if to see his reactions. But what can he do? They were just friends and he had no right to ask Jungkook to stop seeing her.

A/N was straight forward

"I think we should date, Jungkook" she says in front of Jimin.

Jungkook looks at the boy to see Jimin looking shocked, he looks over at A/N who looked at him with confidence

"Sure..."

Jungkook doesn't know why he said that. He did like A/N as a person and no one seemed to be against her so why not

Jungkook starts ignoring Jimin to spend more time with A/N. It wasn't per say intentional but more of a natural occurrence when you are in a relationship and your best friend wasn't.

Jimin tries to be understanding, giving the couple space but he missed the taller man and one day they argue about the same

"Jungkook... I'm not asking you to stop talking to her... all I'm saying is to spare some time for me too... I'm still your best friend right?"

"Jimin.. I'm already upset... Please don't make me more upset. Please stop being clingy!" Jungkook walks away

Jimin has never seen this side of the man. No matter what Jungkook never scolded him for anything

Actually Jungkook didn't mean to scream at Jimin. He was upset at A/N for being an attention seeker and arguing with him when he tried to make time for Jimin. He couldn't scold her because he got to know that A/N's dad was investing in his dad's company. And Mr Jeon was very close to her dad so Jungkook didn't want any issues. The only person he could vent out to was Jimin but instead of sharing his problems, he let out his frustrations on the poor boy

Jimin starts ignoring Jungkook after that. Jungkook noticed it but he never got free time away from A/N to talk to Jimin.

Soon

Their university was closed for the winter break and examination coming up

Jimin goes on a vacation to Busan and doesn't come back. On looking into it, Jungkook gets to know Jimin went to Paris to be a model at Chanel.

Jimin's cousin was already working there and got him an opportunity. Jungkook was upset but he knew he was to blame for, for Jimin's ignorance

Few weeks later, Jungkook sees Jimin's solo modeling pictures online but when he sees Jimin posing with other people- he loses it. He realizes how much he misses Jimin and if he doesn't do anything, he could lose him forever so he goes to Paris to apologize

Jungkook had broken up with A/N long ago - he broke up with her after he knew Jimin left for Paris.

Jimin saw how Jungkook tried his best to meet him but the security didn't let him in, thinking he was a fan or stalker. Jimin didn't acknowledge him in the beginning but Jimin's heart ached seeing Jungkook's saddened face at Jimin's behavior. The man would wait outside his shooting studio and hotel that he was staying at, just to get to talk to him

Jimin decides to talk and gets Jungkook into his hotel room

"I'm really sorry for everything I said and did... please don't ignore me... please come back to Korea with me... if you are here... I will never get to see you or talk to you again..."

"I'm only here till the end of this month..." Jungkook is confused " ...this shoot is just a 2 month ad campaign.. my cousin's wife is due to give birth soon, he wanted to be there for her and didn't want another model to take his spot .. so he pulled some strings to get me in... it didn't hurt that we both are almost similar in size and built..."

Jungkook smiles at that before there was a comfortable silence between them

"So ....we are still friends right?"

"Yes, we are..." Jimin giggles

Jungkook is happy to get his friend back, so is Jimin. They go out on friendly dates around Paris. How much they missed this. Their alone time together.

At the end of the week, Jungkook dares to confess his feelings after Jimin asks him about A/N

"I accepted A/N, not because I liked her but because I wanted to get a reaction out of you..." Jimin's eyes widened "...but then I realized how stupid that was after my dad got a call from A/N's dad about our relationship..." Jungkook shakes his head sighing "...I had to continue the relationship as a couple to the world even though I only saw her as a friend..."

"Did she know that?"

"She did... to an extent... she knew I didn't love her... she knew I was pressurized by my dad to treat her right... I felt suffocated, Jiminah... and my own self hatred for taking such a stupid decision just grew everyday, every single second that I was away from you.. and I couldn't even tell you..." Jungkook says with regret "...how can I tell you I dated her because I wanted you to get jealous? What kind of a friend am I?" Jungkook chuckles sadly "...and then I took that anger on you... I scolded you for no fault of yours... because internally I wanted you to be there with me but out in the open I couldn't say that I needed you, that my life is incomplete without you... I couldn't..." Jungkook looks at the boy with his glistening eyes "...to be honest I didn't know if I missed you as a friend or wanted you as a lover...because you were always with me... I guess I took you for granted.." Jungkook sighs ".... but after we spend less time together and after you left.... I realized that I loved you... but then I needed to save this friendship at least and I came here to get that back..." Jungkook looks at the night sky "...but being in the romantic capital of the world right now... I can't help but ask you this..." Jungkook looks at the boy again

"Will you forgive me and be my boyfriend?"

Jimin smiles, tears rolling down his cheek as he nods "Yes"

Jungkook cups the boy's face cautiously "will you let me?"

Jimin nods

"I love you Jiminah"

"I love you too" Jimin's eyes flutter close feeling Jungkook's lips on his
