Jungkook and Jimin are college mates from the same batch.

Jungkook is popular for his looks and money. He was kinda like the heartthrob that was surrounded by many in the class.

Jimin on the other hand is also popular for being the college topper, being cute without trying and also so kind to everyone

Jimin had a huge crush on Jungkook, just like the rest of the college. Jungkook was very manly and that attracted Jimin's attention but he never did anything about it because it felt like Jungkook might be more inclined towards women - not that he was dating anyone but just by the body language that Jimin happened to notice - Jungkook might feel disgusted if Jimin were to confess. For now, they were just batchmates who didn't interact or acknowledge each other, that was till their second year when they had to do a project together.

Jimin was actually supposed to be in the project with his bestie but surprisingly Taehyung dropped out saying he didn't want to do that particular topic and wanted to do the topic that Hoseok was doing, Jungkook being Hoseok's partner then volunteers to be Jimin's partner. Since that day the two were often seen hanging out together, Jungkook even moved from his usual back seat to the middle seats where Jimin usually sat - Jungkook would often buy Jimin simple snacks which the two would share together in class. They end up walking home together or with Jungkook giving the boy a ride even though the man lived in the opposite direction. They had a sort of friendship which was definitely different from the one Jimin had with Taehyung - it was strangely more intimate though they didn't even hold hands - maybe it was just Jimin's internal desire to be with Jungkook.

It was the end of the year for the second year, they had just finished their finals and the batchmates decided to celebrate with some drinks at Jungkook's place. Jungkook was generous like that.

Jimin gets drunk pretty quickly due to his low tolerance, Jungkook didn't drink any because he wanted to be level headed as they were celebrating in his apartment. Jimin excused himself and went to the balcony for fresh air - Jungkook looks at the boy worried but he is glad that the balcony is railed up pretty high.

Jungkook after a few minutes looks at his phone and lets his friends know that his strict brother was going to visit him now and they had to leave. The friends leave - anyways they are done for the night. Jungkook chuckles slightly at his own lie and then goes to find Jimin

Jungkook stands leaning against the door frame as he watches Jimin for a few minutes before he approaches the boy

"Hey... feeling better?"

Jimin nods at the man and then walks towards Jungkook and sits down next to the standing man and pats on the floor indirectly asking Jungkook to sit there as well

Jungkook obeys immediately

"Here...just listen to this...it feels so good to hear this and look at the beautiful view of the city..." Jimin says handing over his right sided headpiece to Jungkook and they both end up listening to a beautiful serene song

Jungkook smiles when he notices Jimin had unconsciously rested his head on his shoulder. Jungkook gently places his own head on Jimin's head but that makes the boy suddenly wake up

"I'm sorry that I fell asleep..." Jimin apologizes as he switches off the song "...this song is so nostalgic of my childhood...Hey! Do you have your childhood pictures?"

Jungkook nods as he goes to grab his laptop to show Jimin the pictures

Jimin couldn't help but gawk at the pictures - Jungkook looked too cute

"Awww you were so cute like a baby bunny!" Jimin exclaims. Yes, he was still drunk

"Were? I'm not cute now?" Jungkook playfully pouts making Jimin panic

"You are still cute but now you are more handsome, hot... and sexy..." Jimin says leaning forward and pecking Jungkook's lips

Jungkook stared at the boy in shock

"...you are tasty..." Jimin giggles pulling away

Jungkook immediately lunges forward, grabbing Jimin's nape and smashing their lips together

Fck! What a dream! - Jimin wakes up to find himself on Jungkook's bed. The man wasn't in the room

Fck! I need to leave. How will I ever face him?

Jimin leaves the apartment quickly and messages Jungkook that his mother had asked him to go home

Since that day Jimin found it hard to face Jungkook. It was the first time he had an intimate dream about the man and it felt so real that now going back to being just friends was hard for him. It was easier to avoid Jungkook than deal with his heart going haywire whenever Jungkook was near.

Jungkook tries to talk to Jimin but seeing the boy always running away from him with any sort of excuse, the man becomes cold.

A year went by and the two didn't interact anymore

In their last and final year, Jungkook and Jimin get to do a project again together. Again, Jimin tries to avoid Jungkook as much as he can

After that interaction for their project, Jungkook again tries to help Jimin by offering to drop Jimin back home or buying him some snacks when Jimin skips breakfast or lunch.

That day, it was raining quite heavily and Jimin yet again refuses Jungkook's ride

"....You don't need to drop me off when you live in the opposite direction... I can catch the bus..I don't want to be a bother..." Jimin says looking down making Jungkook angry

"...Are you dumb or pretending to be dumb?" Jungkook grits his teeth as he extends his helmet and raincoat to Jimin. Jimin looked confused "....get on now!"

Jimin receives a message on his phone while in class, his eyes widen and he excuses himself immediately and runs outside the class, Jungkook stands up excusing himself as well, bolting behind Jimin

Jungkook catches up to Jimin who was sitting on the stairs, crying

"Jimin! What's wrong?"

Jimin was holding his phone close to him as he cried

"G-Grandma..."

Jungkook saw the message, Jimin's grandma had fallen at home and was in the hospital

"She will be okay..." Jungkook tries to calm the boy who kept crying for a few minutes "....see the doctor said she just has a sprain and needs rest..." Jungkook says seeing another message pop up but Jimin was still hurting for his grandma

Jungkook sighs before cupping the boy's face and kisses him

Jimin's eyes widen and his crying stops

"....You kissed me... you took my first kiss..." Jimin touches his lips, face red

Jungkook frowns " ... did you really forget or pretending to not remember?"

"What?" Jimin is confused

"This is our second kiss..." Jungkook days wiping Jimin's tears "...our first was in my apartment after second year finals..."

Jimin's eyes widen

"...T-That wasn't a dream? I felt so guilty for having such a perverted dream and couldn't face you anymore...even though I wish it was real..." Jimin looks down

Jungkook sighs "...so that's why you avoided me and said I should avoid you for my own sake?"

Jimin nods

"... do you know how I felt when I realized you were deliberately avoiding me after the kiss...I thought it was a drunken mistake for you and you felt disgusted with me..."

Jimin looks down again "I'm sorry"

"...Stupid! I am so angry right now.. we wasted 406 days because of this misunderstanding..."

Jimin looks at the man "Huh?!"

"I will take everything I missed from you... in installments and full..." Jungkook says cupping Jimin's face "I love you Park Jimin"
