Jungkook was from a Mafia family - Jeon Mafia. He was good friends with Jihyun, who was his friend from school.

Jihyun knew about Jungkook's lack of interest in being the next Mafia king after his dad but also knew Jungkook had no choice.

They remained friends all through their life.

Jihyun had a brother - Jimin, 6 years younger than him and Jungkook.

Jungkook has seen Jimin whenever he did happen to visit Jihyun and had liked the younger boy. He did nothing about it seeing that his life was relatively unpredictable. He didn't want to ruin an innocent boy's life

Jungkook and Jihyun had finished college long ago. Jungkook had officially joined the Jeon Mafia while Jihyun went on to start his own business, borrowing the start-up money from Jungkook after promising to marry his sister Y/N as a friendly agreement. Jungkook really liked Jihyun for his sister

Jihyun didn't love Y/N - he agreed on marrying her just for the money he needed. Y/N didn't like Jihyun either but agreed for Jungkook's sake.

Jihyun had initially thought that he would try to make their marriage work but he runs off on the morning of their wedding day. Y/N was crying in her room at the news . Jungkook felt hurt seeing his baby sister crying and sought to take revenge. He got Y/N married to her best friend Jin who offered to marry her to save the Jeon family's reputation. It was unacceptable for the Jeon family and the mafia king to have his sister left stranded at the altar

Jungkook made sure to make Jihyun's business suffer by influencing other investors and soon Jihyun's company undergoes bankruptcy making Jihyun owe Jungkook money, especially since they are not family now

When Jihyun finally meets Jungkook to clear past misunderstandings, Jungkook asks for Jimin in exchange for the money he owed. Jihyun was upset.

"Please Jungkook... Jimin is innocent.. Please don't include him in my mess... I'm sorry for everything I did...."

"Fine.... I will forget everything - the debt and hurting my sister .. if you can beat me in poker..." Jungkook smirks at Jihyun

Jihyun was an excellent poker player while Jungkook was quite bad at it. Feeling over confident, Jihyun agrees to it, not knowing that Jungkook's men were in charge of the whole game. Needless to say, Jihyun lost.

Jihyun begged on his knees but Jungkook paid no heed. Jimin was already kidnapped by Jungkook's men while they were playing the game.

Seeing Jimin cry as the boy was held captive with blindfolds and handcuffs caused Jihyun to suffer a heart attack. Jihyun only had Jimin as his family

Jimin had no choice than to agree to marry Jungkook - he had to pay for his brother's hospital stay. Jimin was still in college and had no money to his name. Jimin had no idea how to finance his assets - Jihyun was always the one taking care of him.

Y/N didn't come to the wedding. She said she didn't want to see any one from the Park family because it still hurt her. Jungkook was enraged and tortures Jimin in his anger, thinking his sister was still hurting, not knowing that she was not that innocent

You see it was Y/N's plan all along to get Jihyun to cancel the wedding so that she could marry her boyfriend Jin. Jungkook didn't approve of Jin since he always thought Jin as a brother for himself and Y/N. Jihyun was actually starting to fall for Y/N but later on she told him about her boyfriend and her plan and Jihyun agreed to back out of the wedding at the last minute. Y/N acted as if she was hurt so that Jin could step in and marry her. And through it all, Jihyun chose to be the bad guy, not wanting to ruin a good brother-sister relationship

Jihyun's heart was weak and was hospitalized - Jungkook paid for the treatments on the condition that Jimin stayed loyal to him

Jungkook's torture included always shouting at Jimin, calling him degrading names, not giving his freedom, making him work like a slave around the house.

Still Jimin did his responsibilities as a husband should. Jimin was young, naive and pure at heart. Even if he didn't want to marry Jungkook, he still accepted Jungkook as his husband. Jimin always saw the best in people. He always believed everyone had something good in them and eventually he saw that Jungkook wasn't all that horrible - because Jungkook wasn't really a bad man at heart, but revenge clouded his mind.

It was hard not to fall for an innocent angel like Jimin and it was hard to always be rude to the cute boy, so eventually Jungkook did end up slipping every now and then - showing the real emotions he felt for the tiny boy and Jimin was quick to catch those subtle emotions of care. Jimin wished it would last forever but sadly Jungkook was always reminded of Y/N's sobbing face on her wedding day

But then the day finally came when Jungkook totally crushed Jimin's soul - the day Jungkook forcefully consummated their marriage.

Jihyun's doctor had given him good news about the man's treatment. Jungkook was about to go home and tell Jimin the good news when Y/N had called him out for a drink. When Jungkook told her about Jihyun, she commented that Jimin would probably ask for a divorce and that it would be better to make Jimin sign a contract stating that he couldn't divorce Jungkook. Y/N said so because she saw her elder brother was in love with the boy and she wanted to make sure that Jimin stayed. She had bribed the waiter and dozed Jungkook's drink with viagra - hoping that Jungkook and Jimin would have a good time together. But boy, was she wrong

Jungkook was drunk, horny, in fear that Jimin might leave him clouded his mind. He wasn't ready for Jihyun to take Jimin away from him, after hurting his sister that day. His body wanted revenge and so he ended up taking Jimin's virtue that night paying no heed to the poor boy's pleas

The next day Jimin stays motionless in bed, staring at the ceiling. Jungkook smirks at the lifeless look

"You enjoyed it didn't you?" Jungkook taunts the boy. Jungkook hovers over the boy but Jimin doesn't push him away "...Now you don't wanna scream... not pushing me away huh..."

Jimin just gets up

"Where are you going?" Jungkook asks seeing Jimin struggle to dress after picking up the discarded clothes on the floor

Jungkook gets off the bed and grabs Jimin's arms when the boy walks to the door silently

"Didn't you have your fun... let me go!" Jimin says angrily

"No.. you are my husband.. you are mine ... ..." Jungkook says with anger in his eyes "...your brother ...he left my sister...he broke her heart... now I will make him suffer the same pain I felt..." Jungkook holds him aggressively making Jimin angry as he hits Jungkook on his chest

"You got what you wanted.. What more do you want from me?!... you took everything from me... I have nothing more to give you..." Jimin sobs as he slides onto his knees, hugging it as he finally cries out loud

Jungkook's smirk vanishes as he stares at the heart broken boy

Jungkook doesn't know what to do

"Shut up!... stop crying!... before I kill you!" Jungkook yells

"...Then kill me...please..." Jimin sobs "...I don't wanna live anymore..."

Jungkook storms out the door and slams it shut

He can still hear Jimin's heart broken cries

Jungkook looks at the door, a tear rolls down his eye but he quickly wipes it and walks away

Jungkook felt bad seeing Jimin's weak state. He wanted to apologize but his ego didn't allow him to.

For a week, they both avoided each other - it hurt them both because they were so used to the other's presence by now.

And then Jimin started waiting for the man again like before. Jimin still loved the man, still saw good in the man's eyes, he strangely understood Jungkook, Jimin could read the man's eyes - his eyes tell a story and Jimin didn't need Jungkook to tell it himself - he understood that the man wasn't himself that night and he understood that Jungkook would never hurt him that way if he wasn't drugged

Jimin tries again to be a good devoted husband.

Jungkook misunderstands the care from Jimin, thinking that the boy was just acting and ends up hurting him more - all because he himself felt guilty towards the boy

During one of their arguments - argument being Jimin wanting to meet Jihyun - Jungkook angrily holds Jimin up against the wall, his arms tightening around the boy's neck - Jimin's vocal cords getting compressed in the process, making him unable to speak.

"J-Jungko..." Jimin gasps

Jungkook's hold over Jimin's neck loosens and he leaves after he realises what he just did

"Why can't he love me? Why does he always insist on going to see Jihyun?!" Jungkook angrily punches the wall of the living room and then he sobs "...why are you acting like you care? I know you don't.... Not after what I did to you..."

Jungkook's old maid can't bear to see all this and finally speaks up

"Sir... Jimin really loves you... he wants to give the marriage a try.. he isn't acting when he is saying those things to you... he genuinely cares for you... even after everything you did to him, he still loves you...."

Jungkook feels guilty. He sighs- yes he has to make it right between them. He goes to their bedroom to see Jimin laying down on the bed

"Hey... how's your throat..." Jungkook asks

Jimin smiles still unable to speak

"I'm sorry..." Jungkook holds Jimin's palms as he kneels down on the floor beside the boy and sobs into it "...please forgive me"

Jungkook apologizes to Jimin for everything he has done

Jimin tightly smiled because he doesn't know if he should trust Jungkook

"I promise to treat you better... I love you Jimin... I'm sorry I let my hatred for your brother stop me from seeing your pain...I wanted to hurt him ... wanted him to feel the pain I felt when I saw Y/N cry..." Jungkook chuckles sadly "...what a fool I am... if nothing else... I ended up hurting myself all along...." Jimin looks at the man confused "....each time your eyes filled with tears when I insulted you... my heart ..." Jungkook holds his chest "...it broke... but I still did it because I wanted Jihyun to suffer.... But I promise, if you do decide to stay with me and be mine... I will treat you like the prince you are ..."

Jungkook takes Jimin out on dates and gets treatment for his vocal cords. They get to know each other better. Jungkook makes up for lost time he had with his husband - showing Jimin the emotions he had kept hidden all along. Jimin was surprised but definitely happy about the 180 degree change. This is the Jungkook he saw in the man's eyes. Finally he got to experience that love

And after Jimin is treated for his throat, Jungkook confesses his abuse to the police and gets jailed for 2 years even though Jimin forgave him

Jungkook came out a better man. Determined to make it right with his husband this time

Y/N apologized too while Jungkook was in jail- that's when she got to know the abuse Jimin went through. She apologized to both of them. She was selfish and self centered and didn't think her actions would have such dire consequences

Jihyun's brother who was all better now had sent Jungkook the divorce papers and the heart broken man had signed it because he wanted Jimin to have a good life without him. He writes a letter to Jimin - asking for forgiveness, for all the misunderstandings, he confesses his love for the boy and asks the boy to finally be happy without him

Jungkook's eyes widened when he saw Jimin standing with Y/N - they came to pick him up from jail after the end of his 2 year sentence.

"J-Jimin...I..."

Jungkook didn't think he would ever get to meet Jimin again

Jimin hugs him "...don't apologize... you have already done that for 2 years... in all your letters up till the divorce papers you signed..." Jimin sighs "......I missed you so much... I didn't sign the papers... we are still married and I don't plan to let you go... I forgive you Jungkook-ah..." Jimin pulls away from the hug to wipe Jungkook's tears

"I love you so much Jimin" Jungkook sobs

Jimin's eyes water "...I love you too Jungkook"

Jimin cups Jungkook's face gently, wiping the man's tears with his thumb before leaning up to pull the man into a passionate kiss

"You don't need permission to dance anymore.." Jimin states making Jungkook chuckle "...I love you Jungkook"

"I love you too Jimin...and thank you for staying mine"
