Jimin was surprised but was excited when Namjoon, their principal, asked the boy to help Jungkook with his grades.

Jimin was a nerd. He never paid attention to school politics, meaning, he doesn't know nor care about who is the heartthrob or popular or brainiac. He came to school to study and did his best to be the topper in his class. So when the principal asks Jimin to tutor Jungkook, Jimin didn't think too much of it

Jungkook would often stare at the boy who taught him. Jimin would blush whenever he caught the man staring at him

Jungkook tried really hard to get the boy to talk to him about anything other than books. Slowly he succeeded

One day, they were sitting in the library. Jimin was teaching the boy when his neck started aching again. Jimin groaned a bit as he massaged his neck

"Can I massage it?" Jungkook offers seeing his senior in pain

Jimin let's him. As soon as the man starts massaging, Jimin let's out a delicious soft moan and Jungkook's hand stills

Jimin opens his eyes confused and looks at Jungkook with a pout

"Why did you stop?" He whines a little making Jungkook chuckle

Jungkook starts massaging again and again Jimin lets out a soft moan. This time though, Jungkook couldn't handle it. He grabs the back of Jimin's neck and brings the boy closer to him and kisses him. Everything happened so fast that Jimin couldn't do anything but blink. Jungkook pulls away from the sweet kiss with a smile as he watches the boy blush

"Jimin... will you go out with me?"

They have been dating for a few weeks now. Jimin was indeed happy. Jungkook was really sweet to him

They dated in secret. Jungkook assumed that Jimin wasn't comfortable coming out as a couple. Jungkook was quite popular in college and he didn't want Jimin to face any backlash. Jimin was happy with that

Jimin's heart breaks when he hears the conversation between Yoongi and Jungkook one day in the music room that no one really goes to. Jungkook had told Jimin he would be with Yoongi trying out a new music the senior came out with

"I can't believe you are dating Jimin now. Did you lose your playboy skills or what? I don't even recognize you now" Yoongi says amused

"...Does it bother you that I don't hang around sluts anymore? Why are you so concerned huh? I can get anyone in my bed. I still have game okay?!" Jungkook's ego was hurt.

Jimin leaves when he hears that. It hurt somehow. Maybe he expected Jungkook to defend him or something. Is that why he didn't want to come out as a couple?. Jimin felt insecure in the relationship

Jungkook sighs as he looks at Yoongi "....But I don't need those skills anymore. I don't want to...because I found my whole world in Jimin... I want to be with him openly and show the whole world that he is mine... but I don't want him to be uncomfortable... I want him to be comfortable with the idea of us first"

That afternoon Jungkook meets up with Jimin in the library as usual. Jimin still thinks Jungkook needs his help

Jimin looks at Jungkook with tears in his eyes. Jungkook was shocked

"Let's break up..."

"What?!"

"...you can tell your friends whatever you wanna say... whether it's that I broke your heart or you yourself chose to break up with me..." Jungkook looks at Jimin blankly "...I will still help you with your assignments. Your grades won't suffer..."

"Jimin... I don't understand..."

"I don't want to date you anymore..."

Jimin runs away

Jungkook is shocked, confused and upset. He tries to run after Jimin but he couldn't see the boy anymore. Jimin never answered his calls or messages

The next day Jimin ignores him in college

Jungkook has enough of the boy avoiding him for 2 days. He back hugs the boy in the college cafeteria when Jimin yet again tries to avoid him

Jungkook had come to know from Taehyung about the reason for Jimin's cold shoulder

"I love you... it's only gonna be you... I'm sorry that I hurt you unknowingly... i'm a bad boyfriend.... I liked you from a long time... I didn't approach you to use you... I used my grades as an opportunity to approach you... I'm sorry I'm not good at these feelings thingy... you are the first person I fell for... please Jimin... you have to believe me..." Jungkook tries to convince the boy

Jimin shrugs Jungkook's hold on him

"...I need time Jungkook..." Jimin says, his voice breaking Jungkook's heart

"...o-okay..." and Jungkook walks out of the cafeteria

Yoongi speaks when Jimin doesn't do anything after Jungkook's confession

"....Jungkook is the topper in his class. He never needed the help but he didn't know how to talk to you otherwise, seeing that you were always into your books. That's why he asked Namjoon, his brother in law for help and the principal asked you to tutor him..." Yoongi says making Jimin's eyes widen

"....he loves you, Jimin... he is just not that great with showing his feelings to someone he really cares about... he has never loved someone the way he loves you... he is scared...just like you...he is also new to a relationship he wants to last forever...." Yoongi sighs "...please think about it... he never did anything to hurt you or you to doubt him... give him a chance... I bet you won't regret it..."

Taehyung who also witnessed the whole scene confirmed whatever Yoongi said was true

Jimin sighs - he didn't mean for things to go so out of hand. He just was a bit insecure and needed time for himself. He didn't want Jungkook to be with him if it's just for grades.

Jimin follows after Jungkook. He knew he would find the man in the music room

"...Jungkook?"

Jungkook stands up shocked. He didn't think Jimin would come find him here

"Jimin...what are you doing here?"

"And what about you?" Jimin says softly

"I..." Jungkook sighs "...nothing really..."

Jimin sits down near Jungkook and asks the man to sit closer to him

Jimin holds the man's hands in his tiny ones. Jungkook always finds it cute

"I love you Jungkook..." Jimin says, his eyes glistening with the love he felt for the man in front of him "...I thought maybe you just wanted my help with your studies and you felt the need to be my boyfriend as a payment or something ..."

"Jiminie pabo!" Jungkook chuckles "...Taehyung is right to call you that, you know..." Jungkook shakes his head "...you are so insecure about yourself that you jump to conclusions... I love you for everything you are... I'm sorry if I made you feel otherwise..."

Jimin rests his head on the man's shoulders and sighs "I am kinda stupid when it comes to things like love...please forgive me..."

Jungkook smiles as he turns around slightly to peck Jimin's forehead

"I love you... let's learn about love together..."
